It's too hot :(

Idiot kids near where I live have been setting fire to old trees.

Not quite as bad as that, but we had some here having a bbq in a field that is completely dead and dry, literally just needing a spark go to up in flames. The police intervened fortunately. How stupid can you be. We’ve had some close calls in this area alone, our firefighters are doing a tremendous job.

This is what they did (picture taken from a local FB group).

The field is bone dry and recently harvested, it's about 30 metres from the edge of the estate.

Yup, there is one group of teenagers that have been causing issues locally for some time, the police keep saying they'll send out patrols but it never seems to happen.

Same here. Police do nothing.
Little *****. No repercussions either.

That tree above is an ancient one too :(

disgusting thing to do, I'd give them 30 years in jail for that, what a thing to do cause you were bored, who brings these people up.

Nice breeze on the coast. Was down in Brighton yesterday and it’s just so much less stuffy than in Hertfordshire

I live pretty much right on the beach front, i could have cooled the house down nicely overnight by opening up some windows and letting the breeze through...
but i'm looking after my mums cat this week while she's away, and as soon as i open a window (even the little top ones) the cat's straight up onto the window sill trying to make a break for freedom :(

Maybe if we didn't stop building reservoirs 40 years ago while the population has grown 30% in that time we would have sufficient water supply and if government actually punished water companies for inadequate infrastructure

Or better yet, perhaps invest in some Desalination plants seeing as though we're surrounded by a mass of salt water (yes I know Desalination is more costly but it's surely not more costly than the cost to the environment)

My forecast peak was 30c, then went up to 33c, now says 36c.

In b4 39c.
Yeah I hate these predictions you see, they are always underestimated it seems these days so you prepare yourself for say 32 and when it comes around its shot up to 36, really throws you off cause you haven't expected it as scorching.

Just before I left, communication from head office to remove disposable BBQs as one of the sources of grass fires and a bin lorry fire.

They should be banned forever. As idiots have disposable BBQs in places you should not be having them - beaches and public parks (unless they have an area dedicated for them). Plus they don’t clean up the rubbish. One of my Wombles found a bbq with a pack of 10 rolls with 3 left and two bottles of ketchup and mayo with only a fifth taken from them. What a waste
