It's too hot :(

Cambridgeshire negligible rain ...

the guy from Anglian water told me consumption was up 1.1M^3 -> 1.6M^3 day due to paddling pools and hose
... and we can't implewment short term hoze/pool bans, so you have to put up with low water pressure.

They don't even try to save it with hot presenters anymore. Who wants to see a bunch of normal-looking people giving them the wrong weather?
another reason to move abroad https://magazine.meteocity.com/bulletin-meteo , 30 degrees and thunderstorms - who cares

Extremely light rain here, its a drizzle at best, no wind.

Room temp is rising lol. Not gone below 26C yet still. Before this 2nd heatwave it was 23-25C which was just about bearable.

Air outside smells really moist, massive humidity, but doesnt feel cool, still warm air.

Seriously thinking of moving to a east or north facing property, as I am planning on moving anyway, but will now take into account the way its facing and the type of windows it has for air circulation.

I'm about 15 miles south east of Peterborough and it ****** down here most of the afternoon.

I have checked the MET map a few times zoomed in.

The area north west of Leicester has had rain all night, the weather just isnt moving much but stuck in one place, we got a little drizzle when the edge of it briefly was overhead.

Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham seem to have had rain msot of the night if the MET is right.

Someone in this thread earlier from Cambridge, I noticed they havent had a drop.

Later this morning Peterborough to the east gets some, its like we in the inside of a horse shoe.

Started to rain here at 20:00 last night and it's still raining some nine and half hours later. Have to say, it felt bloody great walking down Sainsburys in shorts and t-shirt in the rain.

Yeah I planned to stand outside in my t-shirt if it rained properly, but it never happened. :(

Was so little rain the ground is already dried out lol.

Looks like the heavier rain is just missing us - can see huge dark clouds and the haze from heavy rain in the distance but here it is just drizzle really so far.
Yeah we had a slight shower this morning early on but no were near what some places close got. Still not complaining to much today its a gorgeous grey and cool day, finally feeling cool air on the skin was a blessing.

Everywhere was whetted when got up this morning and sort of sea fret / drizzle at the mo.

Slightly cooler but feels like it will be warming up soon

Fair bit of rain in the night ,I am up in Mirfield west Yorkshire at moment ,dull now, taking my folks to pugneys water park for a coffee soon ,garden getting a good watering back home before the hosepipe ban

Forecast said rain (above 50%) for all last night and some of yesterday afternoon.

Light shower for 15 mins in the afternoon then nothing since...

Just me or has forecasting got worse, or just harder?

They were accurate with the thunderstorm and heavy rain here for last night, but also said it would rain until mid day today, and it's not.
My garden water butts are now full so I'm happy.

Had some really heavy monsoon rain here in North Norfolk. Won't have to water the garden for a day or two now.

was hoping we'd get a full on thunderstorm but it never happened, just a bit of light rain yesterday and hopefully a bit more in the afternoon

guess the negative is it's flippin humid now

We've had some drizzle and mist but today is blue skys (north east) not very warm though at 14c

Making the most of this beautiful cooler day of 18c as looks like tomorrow is back to usual humid again and sat and sun solid sunshine all day, looks fairly hot till end of the month for us with no cool under 20c days in sight again for August.

Rains finally here!
It is ****ing down!
