Excellent ,I can honestly say I've never tried stand up surfing ,i just got really caught up in bodyboarding when i first got fins and started getting out back ,i can leave all my gear in the back of the fabia and be ready for action ,also at Polzeath ii know i can be in the top 3 ,a lot of the guys ripping on the boards are local instructors ,if i did do it i think a longboard would be my style
I have been in the mental heath thread and i cant think of a better way to heal
looking forward to autumn ,lose some tourists ,gain some waves and just the quality of light gets so much better ,lose that bright glare
have to go to Truro today so may check out Porthtowan or St agnes

I Do follow afew surfers like Jhon Jhon (think ive posted this before tbh)

Still very hot up north east, just never ends for us it seems, one of hottest nights of the summer last night and temps in mid 20s all next week which to me is far too hot, everytime I look the cooler temps are pushed back, was thursday but now its all the way tues 30th. I'd love a cloudy cool day so much only seen one all summer. This weather is so dragging now, just seems non stop heatwaves and living in a sauna.

Also just don't get why this global warming disaster is mainly effect the UK as all these articles like the one posted about this new heatwave next week, you always read we are hotter than all these so called hot places on earth, why the hell are we getting it so hot and they aren't, I can't get my head around it all.

Yesterday was a sudden surge of heat.

Sun came out from clouds about 7-8pm not long before sunset, I just got back from hospital as well, so wanted to go bed, the sun came out and the rise in room temp was really rapid, in the space of about an hour went from 24.1 to 27.9. Accuweather said outside temp was not budging which seemed nonsensical but then I remembered they only measure from the shade. Luckily it cooled down again by the time I woke up.

It has got kind of close/stuffy here overnight - oddly it doesn't even feel warm but if you do any kind of physical exertion or wearing to many layers of clothing, etc. you quickly feel uncomfortable.

23c last night when getting dark in east yorks, never known weather like this for us, from rarely getting many 20c+ days in our normal summers, maybe the odd day it got 25c+ but this was rare, now 2 solid months of mid to high 20s every day with only one day it was 19 and cloudy.

I would think its the hottest summer ever in history for us.

If only the hotter air from africa or wherever its from can now stay over all winter and we'd never need any heating on, but leave again when next spring and summer come, don't fancy another summer as hot as this ever.

When the hell is it ever going to cool down. Getting annoyed now sat in my office sweating. Can't afford £5k on aircon at the minute.

Doesn't seem to be any sign for us in the distant future, don't know about your location, looking at bbc forecast we will get in 20s all the way to 6th September which is as long a forcast as they can give so probably still carry on in this heatwave that never ends, its insane, September and still getting July temps is insane.

Lincolnshire, I suppose we're now known for holding the record for hottest part of the UK. I mean I like it hot, but not this bloody hot....all, the, time!

That Tuesday we got the record was a nightmare! We were actually going on holiday that day, and Spain wasn't much better. Urgh!

Very nearly bought one of those black and decker aircon units from Amazon. 10,000 BTU for £350 I think. Just a pain they are big, noisy and have to have the vent out the window.

That's probably the same one I bought last year but I think I paid £300 at the time, though I did see it cheaper after Summer had ended (unsurprisingly). The noise doesn't bother me too much, but it's not something you could run at night as it's definitely too loud for sleeping in the same room with.
