Should cool the bedroom down nicely.
Says A reading so can't be terrible, who cares anyway only for the odd night and for an hour or two to cool the room down then switch it off.Are those energy efficient?

Yea ours is hideously loud, the compressor sounds like a rusty old tractor at some points, so it'd be impossible to sleep with. But running it for an hour or two before sleep will really cool the room down. Just a shame we have to sacrifice the en-suite to the exhaust heatSays A reading so can't be terrible, who cares anyway only for the odd night and for an hour or two to cool the room down then switch it off.
10.5 tog is my winter duvet. Been on the 4.5 for about a month now.I'm down to my 10.5tog duvet. It's nice being able to sleep with the window open again.
I ran a 3.5kw one last year for over 50 hours straight when we had that 40c weekend last year, worth every penny. From a guy in the review section...
Room cooling capacity: 27 m2
Power consumption cooling: 1.4 kWh
Power consumption heating: 1.2 kWh
Noise rating: 65 dB
so about 45p an hour at July's 30p KWh cap

I've considered them but they look a bit of a faff. This is the only issue with the mobile units - have you tried the window exhaust kits? They're not perfect, but better than exhausting inside.

Called thunder pollen.

We got a 5m foil-lined hose that we run from the back of the unit. It's long enough that it goes through the en-suite, and dangles way out of the window. The only issue is the hose itself is still leaking heat into the room, plus the fact we have to open a window which is letting in the hotter air from outside. I know a window kit might reduce this a bit, but the window will still be open.
I'll be investing in a two-unit split as soon as we can, so we can have the bedroom and computer room cooled silently![]()
