Seems like it, quite a significant amount of thunder heading my way atm.
Lucky sods

Us in essex have not seem this strange 'rain' phenomenon for seems like the last 3 months

Still looking outside with the nice brown dead grass everywhere.

Its weird the grass is all brown but there are loads of healthy looking weeds

What is this rain thing people keep talking about?

myth and legend :D

We have just had a thunderstorm and rain - started with big heavy spots of rain but has now gone to just the right sort of rain - not too heavy but enough to give the water butts a good fill and water the garden.
I think the temp has dropped 10c.
Just right now .

I haven't switched the fan off in my room since this time last year to prevent it from heating up too much. Seems to have done a good job as it's still pretty cool inside.

Eurgh bedroom is 26C right now and I've gotta get up at 4am, definitely know it's going to be a sleepless night.

Looking at one of our sensors on the driveway which would have had the sun for most of the day and it topped out at 42C.

Parents are draping their child's pram or pushchair with a blanket/towel/muslin cloth in this weather. They have NO idea that this traps the air and overheats the environment. Causing overheating and SIDS.

Use a clip on parasol or sunshade instead
