Haven't even had a duvet on for the last month, just a cotton sheet as it's too flippin' hot with anything more!10.5 tog is my winter duvet. Been on the 4.5 for about a month now.

My parents winter duvet is 4.5! Their summer is 1! The latter is like putting a sheet into the duvet cover!10.5 tog is my winter duvet. Been on the 4.5 for about a month now.

My window is right behind my monitor. Kids are playing in the gardens, sun is shining and a delicious breeze running right into me. Absolutely lovely. How anyone can dislike summer is beyond me.
I plan to make a bit of wood with a hole in it that fits in the open window. Won't look pretty but will do the job. I imagine I'll need to raise the unit onto something as the hoses are never very long.
I've never been overly bothered about the window being open wide enough for the hose to be gripped in place. The room still gets plenty cold enough.
In fact, I think there are times I've started one up in the morning, head out of the room to do things, come back 5 mins later and I left the door open and there's a clear difference when you walk through the doorway of a temperature drop. (And the window open enough for the hose to hang out)

Today, 4 out of 5 customers were buying alcohol - is it a rare thing to actually have alcohol at home?
Plus lost count in the number of customers that bought garden furniture. Do many get rid of theirs at the end of the summer?

Most people don’t keep piles of alcohol in their home. Just buy it as they need it. You can be a slightly strange fellow at times with your life’s observations
Also, a lot of people neglect their furniture over the winter and need to buy new stuff.
Did you ask them or just stand then tutting?
