It's too hot :(

The temperature is the same. But being back in Lincolnshire the type of heat is so much worse! Forgotten how clammy it gets inland!

Yeah we've been forecasted rain today and monday, now I look and nadda both days, says light showers Tuesday but bet it doesn't, looks to get warm again tomorrow so making the most of today, its perfect summers day at 19c.

I never heard of any in those countries. I see sprinklers all over in those countries.
I always wonder why in this country, why are they never prepared. I must be to do with not wanting to spend money in this country.
Are you sure.

Seem like they have issues with water as well.

Had about quarter morning of rain which soon stopped.. this year my back lawn is getting torched how do i stop it ?

I had been watering in the late evenings every 2nd week the last month

Better to water in early mornings if possible.

Biggest mistake with watering the grass is not doing it for long enough. People water for a short period and this just leaves the water in the top part of the soil resulting in the grass roots also going only that deep as that's there the water is.

Deep watering allows the water to go further into the soil forcing the grass roots to go deep and resulting in a healthier and more drought tolerant lawn.

Deep watering once a week should be sufficient. You want around 1-2 inches of water. Stick containers in various places the next time you do it and time how long it takes for them to get 1-2 inches of water in them from your normal watering. Water for that length of time in future.

Thanks for the tip yeh had a look on YouTube and there was a video of an Irish guy saying pretty much all what you said above. I will try and switch to early morning watering again this Is what I was doing when I had the lawn laid .I was doing it every morning though

We had about 0.004 mm of rain about 5pm, av had bigger slashes. How much have they spent on forecasting satellites and computers? Better off putting a feathered headress on and chanting in the garden.

Hammered it down overnight, had to run round the house at 1am pulling all the windows shut. Then another chunk of rain from 2pm until around now!

Not much rain in my part of the North East yet. There’s a weather warning and there were some big drops earlier but didn’t materialise into any sustained rain.
