It's too hot :(

Lovely during the day, only complaint is the temps at night.

Ideally you want it 30C during the day and 5C at night, sadly it doesn't work like that. :D
I go to bed drenched in my own sweat and wake up drenched in my own sweat.

I'm carrying a few extra pounds but I'm not a mammoth.

This heat just kills me.

I've got one of these and it's very quiet on mode 1. The twin bladed design is genius - means you get great airflow for very little noise in a very small form factor.

It's been my go-to desk fan for quite a few years.

Received two of these today. Decent fans. I wouldn't call them silent, especially on max (setting 2). But on setting 1 (mid) they are fairly quiet, low enough to sleep. Better than the Easyacc fans I had before.

For the money, these are a great recommendation. Thanks @Bug One

The next option up I was considering was the "Meaco MeacoFan 1056" but at 10x the price I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been worth it.

Didn't realise this was for bedside.

Very few fans go slow/quiet enough for me to sleep next to. The fan I use bedside is one of these, mainly because mode 1 is super slow and quiet. I've added vibration dampening feet which also reduces noise quite a lot.

However they can be hit and miss. I've actually got two that look idential, but one of them goes much slower and quieter than the other.

The only other fan I can tolerate at night is one I've modified by adding a fan speed reducing adapter into the wiring which makes it a lot slower. Maybe something to consider.

Theres an outside chance of thunderstorm sunday god knows we need it

Its being applied here very soon water company asked people to use water only if absolutely necessary, demand actually went up I keep expecting to the taps to run dry any day now parts of the county have been without water for a week or more one school has had bowsers delivered and staff have to stand by with buckets to flush toilets etc

Infrastructure really is the problem housing is mushrooming everywhere some towns have had a 13% increase in population over the last few years but infrastructure has not projects are mired in red tape they've been arguing about a new reservoir since the 1970's! Houses go up quick infrastructure does not it probably hasn't changed since the 80's theres enough water apparently they just can't distribute it to where its needed or rather where demand has skyrocketed
Spanish cities have grown, yet they manage to keep up.
They just do not want to invest in this country. water companies selling off" reservoirs, yet they keep pushing for water meters , want to have digital meters for surge pricing, it a scam.
I saw property being sold for 65% market value to a property developer , savills was the broker. Yet they refused to sell the block to the resident's, anything to do with local or central gov is a scam.

I never heard of any in those countries. I see sprinklers all over in those countries.
I always wonder why in this country, why are they never prepared. I must be to do with not wanting to spend money in this country.

Yeah it does make you wonder where all the money goes in this country, quite baffling, you are right surely they would think ahead a build better storage reservoir system of our water or get seawater converted to help with supplies, and especially with crops so we don't need to import so much.

Can’t remember who mentioned this, but there’s been no new major reservoirs built in decades apparently.

Desalination isn't economically feasible, especially for a "wet" country like ours. It's an ecological nightmare too
