It's too hot :(

Last few days have been perfect, not too warm, sun but the odd cloud and a soothing breeze.

One thing though, why does 23-26 in the UK feel like 35 in places like Spain. Just don't get it.

Been El Scorchio down in London today, the major plus to that being all the fluff walking around with next to nothing on. Oh yes.

I think my outdoor weather station is on the blink - it is showing 91f at moment - My sensor is on the wall next to the white garage door and it is in full sun and sheltered from the wind.

Probably -10f out back

Most places have air con. So you can get away from the heat.
You're generally on Holliday, so don't have to work in it, and if you miss a bit of sleep, you aren't working anyway.

Think actually it's something to do with the pollution that builds up in cities during the week. Apparently it traps warm air or something IIRC. The pollution is also why it rains more at the weekend...

Although it is a seven year old newspaper article...

What are you two made from?! Those temps aren't that bad, by any stretch :p

With those temperatures it's almost T Shirt weather... :p

Thermometers should always be in the shade. This is something most people don't seem to realise.

Otherwise it can get to 50+ degrees C in mid winter...

It takes about 31 days to climatize. We don't get enough of it to adjust to it. If we did, 23 - 26 would feel cool.

what a lovely day! had a nice bike ride which was a bit sweaty in what felt like 25c+? bit breezy and a few horrible head-on gusts but it's a nice cooling effect :)

more please! :)
