It's too hot :(

For once people in this thread might have a real reason to moan next week.

Currently models are showing significant heat next week, reaching high 30's with potentially the UK record high temperature of 38.1 at risk of being matched or beaten. Some models are even going crazier and are currently showing over 40C!

for example:

Yes that chart is showing 42C over England.:eek::eek::eek:

Are these Daily Express models, as they don't count.

Nope. All models are showing 35C+ next week at some point, but the one I posted above was the most extreme so far, and obviously very unlikely. Still the record temp is at risk of being matched or beaten if all things fall into place

30C would be nice, 40s is not so nice, not with the humidity we have here.

The heat isn't really the problem it is the humidity and the lack of infrastructure to deal with warm weather in this country.

My house was unbearable last night.

The sales lady who sold it to us (newbuild) said "It's great, the eco build of the house means that its very warm without heating in winter and it will keep cool in summer"

what she actually meant was "It will be warm in winter and absolutely unbearable in summer"

Yup same with our new build apartment, there's sweet FA ventilation although living 5 minutes away from the North Sea helps with the breeze.

And what rubbish weather station is that from?
Compared to metoffice which is high 20s with chance of thunderstorms.

It's not from a weather station at all. It's from one of the computer models which forecasters (including the met office)use. The metoffice computer model itself is also going for 35+ next week, but they won't put that in the forecasts until it is much higher certainty.

Also the weather forcast for today was 25 and it's hit 27.8 so they are actually underestimating temps at the moment.
