It's too hot :(

Mine doesn't heat up through sunshine either, but this week, the air is going to be very hot regardless of sunshine.

Luckily, last year I bought a massive upright fan, and it works wonders when full on.
 
i think i'll take the heat over the insects, if we do get this heatwave that is. high fluid intake+low calorie intake should work and keep my metobolic rate down. i'll age slowly and lose a little weight, win :)

lol just duct tape some net curtains around any open window.

nothing worse than a wasp getting inside :mad:
bees are canny and follow the wind to find their way out so you can just open 2 windows on opposite sides of the house and they are usually out the window in a minute or two.

wasps just fly around like they're inspecting everything or chase your face when you try to shoo them out :eek:


Worst moment for me last summer was laying in bed trying to get some sleep, started hearing a bzzz bzzz bzzz noise.
just feet from the light switch on the floor was a massive dragon fly in it's death grip rattling around on the floor.


I had days earlier sprayed my kitchen curtains with wasp spray in an attempt to dissuade anything flying in, I guess the residue slowly killed it

Heh hate wasps I've got some mesh netting stuff duct taped to the windows in summer to keep them out. Though they seem to be almost non-existent the last couple of years and appearing later than usual in the year.
 
Pick a air con machine up today from Facebook selling. 40 quid. It's actually for my convevetory of my new house however I can see it in my bedroom next week
 
Not to bad here this morning ... in fact pretty pleasant as the rain as dropped the temperature. Fortunately I'm away on business most of the week staying in a modern hotel with aircon and doing stuff in computer rooms which will, of course, have aircon so if it does get hot I should be ok.
 
It was just a wall of hot air going outside yesterday afternoon, not very pleasant. 40C or thereabouts coming up today and tomorrow. 21C feels rather cool at present. :D
