It's too hot :(

Think we have the warm not hot mixed weather this week, I was lucky on the coast today, this place is accessed via a rope or a climb so tourist free edit/ just me nearly always..............

Sitting in my hot tub with my branston beans in a martini glass listening to my tiktok influencer neighbour rant about inconsiderate neighbours. Lifes good.

Absolutely dying here and its "only" 24 degrees.

Showered last night, already absolutely drenched in sweat and miserable again. :o

Hot and humid night last night again, 24 C indoors, plus i have the flu so sweating a lot/feel groggy.
this is my 2nd flu this year :( i always thought respiratory illnesses were mainly a winter thing

It’s 25°C here already and it’s not yet 09:00.

35°C again this afternoon and 37-38°C forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Portable A/C unit in our bedroom is worth its weight in gold.

just had a surprisingly heavy shower, zero chance according to the bbc but not suprised by that, Polzeath looks sunny and packed already (may nip over)
Bank holiday next week then we are close to losing a big chunk of tourists
September can be the sweet spot

I take very little notice of the BBC weather forecast, just check the Met office one. Or look out the window, that's a bit more reliable than any of them!

Wow last thing you need in roasting weather is the damn flu, hope its not a bad dose of it.

thanks. I'm at the tail end of it, still a bit rough but nowhere near as bad as a few days ago. I'm suspecting it's covid as i've completely lost my sense of taste which has never happened to me before. At it's peak i felt really unwell which i don't recall with previous flu's i've had.

Right yeah sounds like it could be covid, heard last week there is yet another variant doing the rounds, flu when I had it was awful and felt like I was dying, so annoying, hope you get better soon, plenty of rest, broths or chicken soup I found helped me, also A.Vogel echinacea tablets (they are herbal tablets and you can get them from Amazon) I swear by them now, you may still catch covid, flu and colds but they should be much milder symptoms, flu though they are the least effective with but would still milder the symptoms. I used to get lots of coughs and tickly throats for literally months and then sinus infections but the echinacea tablets help me so much, Soon as anyone around you gets anything or you get slightest symptom you start taking them, also winter months I take one each day to keep immune system good.
