Definitely feeling the background cooling down late at night/early hours when I get out of work now - last 2-3 days have been a bit odd in that at some points it is way too warm to have more than a t-shirt on, at other points I've needed 2 layers to feel comfortable.

The weather here has completely flipped this week - from 30 - 35 degrees every day last week, it's suddenly 17-20, dull and occasionally drizzly.

Perfect summer weather here, lots of sun but staying high teens, lovely and cooler at bed time too, just bliss. Sunday looks back to 20s though but staying cooler on a night thankfully.

This morning felt a bit autumnal but quickly warmed up now to 18c already, just a sign that the best seasons of the year are coming soon.

August has been poor here in the Staffs Moorlands. Slightly better than July though. Definitely had that autumnal smell in the air last night.

Forecast looks decent here next week, but it's been drizzling off-and-on these past few days. With the absolute washout of a summer we've had in general, I wouldn't be surprised if next week ends up hit-and-miss again and the forecasts update when it gets closer to the actual days. Pretty disappointing summer overall.

Local news said we are down 15 percent on sunshine hours down here ( BBC I think and June to August) showing 12 days of sun from Saturday, should be nice as a few waves as well over the weekend and civilised temperatures

Looking like the hurricanes around florida may cause high pressure for first weekend of September with high pressure building for first week or 2.

Could be ideal 20+ weather with kids out of the way back at school!

Bah just when the kids go back summer arrives! Thought we were done with noisy kids screaming outside and ringing doorbells and banging on windows after school breakup the autumn weather sends them scurrying for home normally! Bloody typical!

Bring on autumn? It's been autumn since the beginning of July. This summer has been trash and they only people who enjoyed it are those who dislike summer.
