It's too hot :(

I hate solar gain. Flat was around 22.5C up until about 3:30 then the sun came out and it’s now 23.5C. Have hardly slept for at least a week. :(
I can comfortably get to sleep with my room up to around 25c at night but any hotter and I put a fan at the end of my bed and aim it under the duvet, makes a huge difference.

Its all good until you fart and it gets blown straight up the nostrils. Or depending on strength of fart maybe they cancel each other out?

And on what you've been eating, some don't always smell that unpleasant to be fair.

Chicken Naga Farts, they border on making my mouth water, they smell the same as the actual dish.

Saw that earlier just couldn't get myself to click on the link that just makes me depressed we're just destroying earth and they have to pay for it :(

I am just happy that the UK dodged the heatwave that Europe is getting. Can you imagine the level of damage that level of heat would do to the UK and not to mention the lives lost...

Potentially some of the hotter air spills out above us into early September which might make things a bit unpleasant under it (muggy, etc.) but there is nothing definite yet.

You adapt. Your body can get used to temperatures. You also change your behaviours to suit. Also your schedule changes to suit the weather conditions.

I've acclimatised a fair bit to the UK but when I go back to the Med within a few of days I'm completely settled back into the weather makes me realise how it never really gets that hot in the UK.
South east does reach the temps you mentioned most summers, but our last 2 summers (including this one) have been mild.

Not sure if I would ever adapt though, different people seem to have different tolerances, there is people who turn central heating on as soon as temps get down to low 20s, whilst For me my ideal temp is probably high teens, and wouldn't use heating until low teens. I have huge problems when temps are anywhere near 30 and above, but some are at home with those type of temperatures.

How common is a/c in Spain?

Well when I was brought up in the Med we didn't have AC. It existed of course but was a luxury, we had fans, nets on the windows and second door with a net allowing for a breeze. Whilst it did get hot at times in all honesty you dealt with it.

The houses were built in a way which meant a nice breeze was possible and we all had ceiling mounted fans. In the winter it did get cold but we'd use heaters and just wrap ourselves up.

We'd get hot of course. Genetically whilst I have a lot of Mediterranean roots, you can see many locals here who still wear long sleeve shirts and trousers and you cannot spot any sweat patches.

Humidity is one thing I do struggle with and I think most people do. Dry heat is fine. The key is just to slow down, and allow your body to just sink into a slower cadence of life. Easier said than done of course.

Ita so cold here today it feels like deep autumn.

I keep reminding the gf about how **** the weather is to instigate emigration talk!

The thought of this weather until may is down right miserable.

I fondly remember the super heat wave last year :(
