"The temperature inside this apple turnover is over 1000 degrees. If I squeeze it, a jet of molten bramley apple will squirt out. Could go your way, it could go mine. Either way, one of us is going down."

Car was filthy when i went to get in it this morning! All the cars in the street were!

Its still filthy!

Not a good day to be in London. I'm not a fan of the place anyway but 2 hours of trains with some tube and DLR thrown into the mix also doesn't help. Also the AC on the train into Waterloo didn't seem to be working so I felt a mess before I even got there. Thanks SWR!

My experience of London I think they do it deliberately... I got stuck once for 2 hours outside of Mottingham due to a line side fire in a blistering July and no AC...

In the locker room at work, there’s a radiator by my locker which is on! No control on it.

The only other person who has their heating on is a mother of mum’s friend. She’s 93. Went round yesterday and noticed the heating was on. 93 year old didn’t even know she had the heating on!

Why do buses have heating on them which the driver won’t switch off?
Prevent engine overheating is my guess.

Been sat out sunbathing since 11. Gonna go out for a walk soon.

I don't mind the heat at all, take this over cold grey and damp.

As long as it's not grey or windy i don't mind. Rain unfortunately requires grey, but otherwise i'm okay with it.

Gonna wash the car. I feel like mine got the worst hit for this sand when looking at the other cars at work. Have managed a ride on the bike every day this week so far, but riding in day tomorrow also

Beer in the garden time as car has a fault.

Gutted as very unlikely will be able to go anywhere on Saturday

Our cars are the same - The windows at back of house are the same -dustbin lids etc - We must have had a sand storm and bit of rain.

I used my new water purifier today and washed the car along with windows. Just left them to dry.
I will be glad when this heat has gone -Just too much although now it's much cooler and was a pleasure to sit outside earlier listning to hay baler and bikers thrashing up bypass. Totally still.

Just come back from a short gentle cycle, the first few minutes were bliss, freewheeling downhill... Then melted in easiest gear heading back home uphill!

Mosquitos can't breed in running or salt water.

It's standing water in old tyres, sagging gutters, water butts that they use.

They also don't fly that far from the water source as they are such weak flyers. So you can control a local population pretty well if everyone in a 500m radius is careful.
There’s a lake by Rhodes airport. Didn’t get a single bite on my week’s holiday. Got home and noticed three huge bites on my ankles. Must have got bitten from terminal building to shuttle bus or bus to plane. Probably a spy mosquito “not allowed to go home without being bitten”

I got Covid on a weekend away in London, so my temps have been in the high 37s... Its been unbelievable, I've never been so hot.

Ooof would not want COVID in this weather, well at all but especially not in this weather.

Though for some reason I only had like 1-2 hours of fever compared to 1-3 days for everyone else I live with.
