It's too hot :(

To quote Eminem, word for word:

‘My balls are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy. There’s vomit on my sweater already, mum’s spaghetti. Sod this damn weather.’

Ok, I may have changed it a little. Please, make it stop! :(

Lol, converation with the other chef at work last night.

Him (while doing the cowboy walk): "ugh, it's disgusting, they're stuck to my leg"
Me: "Mine aren't. They're floating. Got their own paddling pool".

:D

The people in the house opposite amuse me. They had their windows open first thing this morning. As soon as the sun came up they closed every single one, presumably to “keep the heat out”. My dads parents used to do the same

If you have good insulation that's what you're supposed to do. Close windows and blinds/curtains etc. between 10-6.

I don't do this, then complain it's too hot as is the proper British way.

With the full sun blasting into your house? It’ll be like a greenhouse inside
If it's a well insulated house, shutting up shop while the sun's up keeps the inside cooler than the outside. Assuming the inside isn't getting heated by pc or oven etc. Past few days it's been 25 ish in here while it's 30 ish outside.

Already 25c in the frozen NE this morning. Think 27 is going to be an underestimate. Got a pool club nearby that is open all night until 7am so may be having a few games later. :D

Got home from work last night to find my fan stopped working! Went to Argos and got a tower fan for £26 and it’s amazing?! Even has a remote, lowest setting is enough to blast air across the room.

How’s everyone’s appetite in this weather?

I lose a lot of my appetite in very hot weather. I live off picky bits and cool sandwiches for a few days until it passes

What was interesting yesterday was I was in a fully open warehouse, and you'd think it'd stay cool but instead the hot air just waltzes in. So when people say British and concrete houses are the worse for hot weather. I don't think I agree. The only thing British houses may need is shutters I think.

Went out on the bike at 7am, so as to get some good miles in and back before it gets tooo hot.

It was 15°C when I was heading out, 27°C as I was coming back at 11:30am. Was quite pleasant although I was starting to feel the heat in the last hour and wondering if I should have put some sun lotion on....

It's currently 30c here, feels more like 35 though, zero breeze. One thing I have managed to do though keeping bedroom door shut and curtains closed and still same temp in there as I woke up 20c, it'll no doubt increase before bed after the afternoon warms up and the sun hit the bricks later on but coming into the room is a real break from the intense heat.

Soup for lunch today and a chicken roast tomorrow. I think the kitchen might get a little toasty. :D

I’ve already said, I don’t like 30 degrees temps, I prefer about 24-25 and sunny. This summer we’ve been around a crappy cloudy 18-21 most of the time.

Im not suffering with the heat like some on here, but I do find it affects my appetite
Just can't be arsed to eat much in hot weather either, and I class hot as 21
