It's too hot :(

It's such a gorgeous evening in York. Blue sky and tiny wisps of cloud.

I'm going to miss this when it goes. :(
So am I. We had that 6 weeks of great weather around June time. Then I went to Switzerland and Italy for 3 weeks where it was around 30c every day. Just dipped in the crystal clear lakes and rivers every day. Came back and this until today.
Brilliant.

I find that at night time, it cools down a lot and I have no issues sleeping with the windows open and the temp is around 24 degrees. Humidity is around 50 when I to bed at around 10pm.
The Mrs won’t let me have the windows open due to noise, although it’s minimal, a slight breeze is all you need to make it comfortable.

Thats the only complaint me and the missus have with opening the windows at night and it's usually the sound of cars driving by. Still not distracting enough to stop us from sleeping and if its the noise vs the heat, I'd take the noise any day of the week :)

This is the best weather we've had all year. Not hard though considering we had a half decent week in June then nothing until now.
We had lovely weather 3rd week June then it ended with a massive thunderstorm and extremely heavy rain in 2 hours, we had a month's worth of rain.

Made it to 32 with us, didn't feel too different to that horrendous day last year when it hit 39 or 40 in yorkshire, some people saying its the best weather all year, I use the opposite description and see it as the worse weather all year though. Wonder if it broke the hottest september day ever recorded.
May not break the record for highest but +30c for 7 days in a row apparently will

Boss let me go home early its just too hot for work outside age doesn't help either I can see why the old folks keel over in the heat starting to feel it now

Sigh, been drinking from this glass all day and I just realised it has split itself in two :( damn heat

I'm a bit torn on this. Kids have got to play but sometimes I think is the shrieking necessary? Not sure if its selective memory but I don't remember being so loud as a kid.

As someone with kids. Hearing kids living their best life whether mine or not just makes me happy/Content.

I mean back home kids play outside when having dinner way into the evening, the saying "seen not heard" doesn't exist for us, it's nice for me to hear kids having fun. Means I know I can enjoy dinner with my friends and family without having to worry too much about entertaining them or arranging child minder.

Yes but they don’t have to bloody scream like banshees

That's fair, although I think sometimes having limits/boundaries for kids can be a good thing...this is coming from someone with no kids so what do I know? :p My nieces/nephews are brought up with absolutely no boundaries, not even allowed to say no to them so they pretty much do what they want.

When I was a kid there was an elderly couple who seemingly hated kids, hated us playing football in the road and actually took my football so I always try to not be the miserable old neighbour!

Sometimes it would be nice if the kids were a bit quieter though

Another downside to the weather is the kids down my road running and screaming. STFU.
Im with you on that. Loved being off this week sunshine in the garden catching up with some work online training tosh on the ipad. Me, the dogs and no kids. Today stuck inside as i cant stand the bloody noise 29.5 in the lounge tonight at 1956 and they are still running up and down. Outside our house, wish they'd frig off outside their own.
