iTunes 7

I keep finding more and more problems with iTunes 7, and none of the solutions above fix it.

For instance, I open Teamspeak and audio is played at 2x! What in the hell?!
 
Does anyone know if a patch or something is around to solve the sound bugs (choppy and jarbles) It's doing my nut in now to the point where I might use WMP :mad:
 
I hope there's an update soon too... I'm reinstalling Windows in a few weeks, but until then I'm having to listen to crackles etc every time I get a message on Messenger.

Well I have found something else that works really great with my ipod and no need for itunes anymore!

Its called Xplay and it enables me to sync music via Windows Media Player and even drop and drag on to a drive icon. Bye bye itunes!
 
Good news! High-Res iTms album art is available again, for the US store only atm! Click here the searching is a little basic so search for the artist/album exactly how it appears :)
 
Hey guys, I was having the iTunes crackle problem, so I decided to try the multi-plugin with Foobar mentioned earlier.

It seems to have sorted the problem, but introduced a new one. Basically songs finish before they are finished! The iTunes progress bar goes all the way to the end, but the song isn't actually finished.

I had a look through all the settings in Foobar to see if there was anything causing this, but as far as I can see there isn't. Anyone got any ideas?
 
i read somewhere that they were rushing out an update to sort out these problems...

anyway im quite impressed with the new itunes, no problem on my mac

however the new ipod firmware for my 5th gen video has made it crash along with my brothers - had to do the manual reset (toggle the hold swich then press and hold select and menu)

I should hope so to, I don't see how they could miss the crackling problem? Just shows how rushed out it was, shame on you Apple :p

its not foobar, its itunes causing it. It's a known problem and the author (i think it was him) has said he doesnt know if he can fix it

Ahh right, cheers for that. I guess I'll just have to sit tight for Apple to patch it!
 
Ok, I'm starting to notice little problems now.

  • Random crackling fits. It just does this for no reason that I can see, and it’s a right pain when I’m out of the room.
  • Crackles when I scroll using the mouse wheel, but not the scroll bar.
  • Random reboots of my 5G iPod since upgrading the firmware. This is a right pain in the arse when I’m cycling, as I have to stop, take off my gloves, get the iPod out of my pocket, navigate to my cycling playlist and re-start it playing.

mine crackles when:
Another sound playes.
When A Website is loading
Random
When switching MSN convos/webpages
 
What happened to the music video section (like TV/movie sections) and the abilty to only update/copy podcasts with ticks next to them :(

I had huge issues with 7.0, and I'm still getting some of them partly with 7.01. Although 7.01 is a huge improvement over the first release.

I run NOD32, and basically had to tell it to ignore the "iTunes Library.itl" and "iTunes Music Library.xml" files, as well as ignore extentionless filenames to get it to run smoothly with no CPU spikes.

Although I'm still suffering this slightly, it's nowhere near as bad as it was before.

As an extra note; I found I had to disable the "24 bit crystaliser" function on my Sound Blaster X-Fi panel, as well as the "Sound Enhancer" funtion in iTunes. This stopped any crackling for me at least.
