I've been scammed, any help appreciated.

Meh it happens, I accidentally submitted some personal details to some online crypto scammers after I mistyped a web address and they kept phoning me and trying to get money off me. I hadn't noticed and just used auto fill to click through the boxes, they phoned within 10 seconds of me hitting submit, best response time iv ever had

In the end I just changed my phone number to stop them bothering me.

Fealt like an absolute fool though as Im always really careful.

Like you say cheap lessons to re-sharpen the old Spidey senses.

I always stay away from the ones that say they will deliver only. I want somewhere to go with my pitchfork and bag of poo if the item fails etc.

Scumbags eh........we did report as a scam, Facebook clearly not blocked the account.

Unfortunately there's little human control on FB. Bans etc work on algorithms. One scam report isn't going to trigger it. It'll need multiple. It'll be this way to stop malicious reporting.

Definitely worth getting a crime number and reporting to bank - if there are other reports against the same account they are much more likely to do something.
Absolutely do this, banks now have notifications within their APPS which give you a little reminder when sending somebody money advising you that it may be a scam.

I guess they probably take £30 deposits (or try to get more like in your case) from a load of people and then do a runner.

Never ever send a deposit for anything. Arrange a date, collect or delivery and then that's it.

Luckily it's only a small amount.

Banks are getting ruthless now, if people send money there is no reversal in most cases.

I though the usual policy is unless you were hacked then you ain't getting the money back.

I get several warnings when I'm sending money to an account that I have with another bank from my banking app.

Whole load of ads which appear to be using the same set but with different layout for the photos, several of them using the same site to generate a profile picture for the linked FB account.

A mate was trying to be scammed last night so I posted "You're in there Mark" and the scammer said "I don't understand?".
I posted "It would be better to type your own words instead of a template that is seen 1000s of times.
I then got abuse.
