J Connor is Back!

Don't think I ever understood it but I'll ask anyway...

How is it possible for John Connor or Skynet to send terminators back through time when the future hasn't even taken place yet? I've been looking on Google for a decent article on the time travel aspect but no luck so far.

Because the future has taken place....

They are sending them back, although when they do it is changing the future.

Looks epic, lets hope bale keeps up the fact he doesn't pick rotters.

Sarh connor chronicles has gone a bit boring for me tbh.

Probably better not thinking about it, they already messed up their own rules with the "nothing dead can travel through time". Apparently liquid metal terminators with no exterior flesh covering can do this with ease. And if the liquid metal somehow fools the machine into allowing it to time travel then how come they can't send back advanced weapons etc by using the same technique?

That being said the trailer looks good but it doesn't quite look like the post apocolyptic future that has been portrayed in all 3 movies plus the tv series. Id love to know whats been screwed with when the trailer has the line "this isn't the future my mother told me about". It seems like he's more of a regular soldier on the frontlines than a saviour. =/

In the second trailer around the 1;11 mark, what exactly is he saying, something something have been busy?

im sure that was explained somewhere, that the one T-1000 was sent back using was a more advanced upto date version of the time displacement device, though don't quote me on that!

with the trailer, WTF!?!?! have they done? skynet doesn't use stupid motorbikes, what happened to the acocalyptic setting, its all sunny and ****** up!?! and why did they have to pick mister ridiculous to play john connor, can't take him seriously since the dark knight with his ridiculous 'im batman' voice!?! another thing thats bugged me, skynet doesn't want to recreate/replace connor, it wants to kill him, so whats with the doppleganger? way to go further ruining the terminator franchise! :(

Thought the new trailer looked really good, can't wait to see it. It does look different being set in the daytime rather than like all the flashbacks at night, also this is going to be early in the war hence the conventional weapons and why the locations don't look as apocalyptic etc, i always presumed the flashbacks in the other movies were from much later in the war.

I like the look of some of the new terminators such as the bikes and the huge harvester at the end of the trailer, cool to see the early models as well, before Skynet started pumping out the Arnie model terminators. Not sure who the "doppelganger" is, but from the way he's talking to him, "you tried to kill my mother etc" has me wondering if its a human form of Skynet or some machine under its direct control.

my point is (being a long time lover of terminator) why would skynet need bikes when it has those enormous aeriel HK units, air units cover much more terrain more quickly, its a computer and thats totally illogical, why can't they just stick to how its meant to be!!! :(

Do you know something we don't? Who says those bikes are Skynet at all?

well the fact theres nobody riding them sorta suggests that, and the fact they appear to be chasing the human truck/with them appearing to shoot in the bikes direction, while theres explosions! i don't think christian bale is the right choice, his voice is ridiculous, he does that annoying batman style 'angry whisper' thing all the time

WOW, that looks superb!

I love Christian Bale, he brings the entertainment factor of any film he's in up ten fold. I can't wait. :D
