Jaaaaaag Owners

Oh ********. Had the f-type one day and hit a pothole, hole in the tyre and not fixable. Got a mobile tyre fitter out
and he fitted a budget tyre (all he had) which at least got me home although I don't want to keep that on for any length of time. Might pick up a spare wheel and put iit onto that for emergencies in the future.

It's got P Zero's all round at the moment. Should I stick with these? Anyone recommend anything else through experience?

I've got P Zeros on my XE. They are horrible, can't wait to get rid of them.

Wet grip is atrocious.

The P Zeros don't get much love at all on the Jaguar forums. I've got 3 MPSS on my F-Type at the moment and one Linglong as similar situation, pothole, cracked alloy and a temp tyre fitted to get me home that I haven't got round to replacing yet.

Thanks guys, looks like personal preference then :) Think I'll renew P zeros this time and maybe try something else next time round

I had pzeros all round on my XFS 3.0D it wasn’t happy with the wet grip swapped the rears out for continental sport contact 7’s let’s just say 2 more will be going on the front when they are due the grip levels now wet or dry are phenomenal.

Just had a safety recall letter through for the XE, potential turbo oil feed pipe leak. Can’t get it looked at until late August but at least they’re sorting.

Think it only affects the recent D200 but could be wrong.

just experienced the Jag premium.

Car says service due. It's 8 years old, 11000 miles so girl at Jag dealer says minor service, oil change and two belts, £715. local garage confirms it and says £350.

I noticed a X351 XJ locally driven as a Taxi. Checked the MOT history out of curiosity and lo and behold, this 2011 Jag has covered 368k miles.

It just had regular wear and tear in advisories. The other being corrosion (probably surface rust). It was a pleasant surprise to know this is a high mileage hero. :)

Bizarrely the xj doesn't seem to suffer the same woes as the lesser models..... Maybe that's due to the different clientele in how they are driven and looked after?

They are generally regarded as reliable in the Jag circle. Mechanically the Euro 5s are good. I have read about the manifold going bust and some of the wheels suffering from cracks (I think Kasuga ones, not sure). Would love to own one someday.

I had an X351 5.0 Portfolio. It was OK for reliability apart from the waterpump failing at 35k miles which is pretty common on them.
It was a lovely car to drive. Comfortable, refined, fast. My only complaint was the low resolution graphics on the instrument panel and the bloody awful infotainment. I believe both of these were addressed with the facelift.
