Jam Thread - Sign Ups

By the way incase you see this, I've added you to MSN to have a chat about hte FTP-age :)
Hi, can you re-add me as the address in my profile was my non-work MSN (rarely on it outside of work).. the new address in my profile is the correct one, my work one :)

A while back i posted a few links to some backing tracks for various genre's. If we do this on a regular basis there are a few decent one's to choose from so i don't think we'll fall short of backing tracks. Once the search is back up, i'll merge the links into this thread for reference. :)

Maybe if every jam someone takes it in turn to pick a backing that they like, and then we use this one until the next jam track is chosen by someone else the next time round. That way we should see a nice variety appearing

Yeah good idea, ideally the backing's want to be the same progression all the way round with few dynamic changes, so that no one has a 'too' different section to play over, it's best if the backing goes around as many times as possible too (at least 3/4 depending on the amount of people) so we don't end up with loads of groups.

the backing track won't download for me - limited number of downloads, just me or anybody else?

I wanted to have a listen before I pluck up some courage and sign up.

Strange I can still manage to download it, have you been downloading a lot of stuff off yousendit?

It still seems to be working for me but will eventually fubar I think.

oh no, I don't :(, the download came up in IE, then started moaning at flashgot so cancelled it, and now it wont download in FF IE or opera

anychance of uploading somewhere else?

Interestingly the yousendit page is now erroring:
THE PAGE OR FILE YOU REQUESTED CANNOT BE FOUND

A file link is only available for a certain number of days or a limited number of downloads, whichever occurs first. Once an uploaded file expires, it can no longer be downloaded. If you still need the file, please contact the original sender directly.

http://www.riddlermarc.co.uk/backing_tracks/07. Rock blues in B minor.mp3 try that :)

I'll leave it up there until further notice..

Okie dokie chaps I've updated the original post with your groups and times, if the last person from each group could email me (email in trust) the finished track then hopefully riddlermarc will upload them for us :)

If someone wants to have a crack at editing the track to allow for one more minute of jammage (so twice around the progression) for ToryglenBoy to fit into group 2 then that'd be great, I've had a crack but can't get it to work and it's late :p

Ok, this is probably the worst timing I could have imagined. :o

I took my Strat into the luthier's yesterday and today he gave me a ring. Turns out my neck and my bridge pickups have failed. :o

I may try and do something on my acoustic.. But this is shocking. :o

One more for effect, :o.
