Soon as the last man has done his bit i expect. There should be a few solo efforts appearing shortly, might take slightly longer with the groups.

Ok cool no rush :) Ive got a few ideas milling around but im really interested to see what you guys have done before i start thinking about it too much.

What would be good is to not hear anyone elses until they are all in.. then you won't get influenced by anyone else etc.. :)
 
^ well ive got the backing with andelusion's part in it, and i record straight onto the end of that, and then clinkz will record straight onto the end of my part and then email it to you i guess to host.

it makes the cutting and editing process a non-problem.

and also means solos can flow into eachother for a second or two and then go their own direction.
 
Sorry, I see what you mean - wouldn't be practical for the group phases.

I was thinking more of no-one else hearing the "entries" until all are in. Then all the entries could be unveiled at once? Groups finish theirs, the solo payers do their stuff and all are submitted for the final show.

Just a thought :)

:eek: I promise I wouldn't take a sneaky peek of people's entries (so to speak)..

Been working on mine already, for som reason the line in on my pc now isn't working though - gutted as I sat down yesterday to have a good crack at it! Think I need to have a bit of a play/buy a non-integrated soundcard option :p

Aye well that's the idea, if a player in a group wants to make their improv follow the previous then of course it's a good idea to listen to it and try and build on anything worth developing that the previous player has played.

If when the groups are finished everyone emails them to you so you can host (if that's still ok?) then whoever can download them, and we can all listen to the finished product. :)

Again really no need to rush. One of my Raptors in raid 0 (system drive) just died and im up **** creek without a paddle. Very Very Irritating.
 
Still waiting on the file although i have my part pretty much figured out (couldnt resist :p). Should have my system back up tomorrow (tuesday), then once i have got around the vista upgrade incompatibility issues i will be done:)

if you are then my bad and i'll get the file to you asap - if not then give me a buzz when you're ready if i havent sent the file yet (email in trust).

i'm still working on my part, trying to get some double stops and double bends into it for some variety - but being hammered currently isnt helping.
 
Ill be doing mine either later this evening, or tomorrow morning if i can. I'll then upload it by mid-day tomorrow so you can download it and fill in your time slots. I know it's being a little awkward but were slacking behind ;) . If you can refrain recording until tomorrow midday that would be appreciated, otherwise we'll end up with different tracks with different solo's on. :)

How long have you been playing for? Also, what kind of stuff do you play primarily? :)

Thanks, I've been playing for about 15 years and play a bit of everything these days. I tend to mostly practice my classical and jazz techniques but do a fair but of dodgy funk and silly covers, and original stuff here and there too.
