January 14/15th football *Spoilers*

Well correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the fourth official/ref supposed to add 30 secs for every subsitution? Second half saw 6 subs, Dunne down and treated twice, Sinclair down and off for treatment, Ronaldo sent off and James booked for kicking the ball away and time wasting - how can that possibly equate to 4 mins time added on for stoppages?

4 points from leeds this season and last season, so should have been 6 too.[/QUOTE

Indeed :)

Just back from the game, and although Leeds undoubtedly have a decent side, they weren't up to battling it out against a Brighton side who performed way above their league placing.

Leeds go marching on..back to Yorkshire with null points from the Sussex Coast for the second successive season.

Still want them to go up to get more cash for Harding :)

Giggs, O'Shea, Fletcher, Ronaldo

So as you see a great CM lineup

The second half Evra came off and Smith came on and O'Shea went left back
How did Evra look? Thought O shea had been doing ok in MF recently. I still can't make my mind up about Fletcher - the Man UTD fans I know hate him but whenever I see him on TV he always seems ok

Evra didn't really have a good game. He looked nervous. But, you can't expect much on a players debut. He will have to get used to the style of play of the EPL which might take some time.

Great win for the pool as I was kinda worried about this match as Spurs are on top form this season. Good to see Kewell getting the winner and his performaces are improving each match.

Like J.D.K mentioned, we have a few very though matches coming up and those will be a test. Good Job we have reinforcements to help battle any injury that may happen.

obviousley haven't watched us for a while then :)

Really pleased with the result today, by all accounts Spurs played well and could be a dark horse for a CL spot
Last game I saw was the TV game with Luton but I don't see them on a reg basis.

Is this the Evra that is to form part of the best defence in Europe , according to some poster on the transfer thread?

I love the attitude of some of the Man Utd fans on here , I keep forgetting that Man Utd have a God given right to win every game , its what gives them the reputation they are lumbered with.

No goals again for Newcastle , beaten by a poor Fulham side.

Souness to stay until the end of the season , he has a £3m payoff written into his contract - we cant afford to sack him.

I hope I bump into him in a boozer in the town tonight.

I wouldn't mind being there if you did

do you think he will definately go at the end of the season?

I'll let you know , I might need a hand , he's nearly twice my age but I still reckon he'd be a bit of a handfull! :o

Yeah , I think he will go , hopefully Shepherd will take heed of teams like Chelsea and Liverpool who run things properly.
Sack him the day after the last game of the season with a decent replacement lined up to take over and have all summer to work with the team , rather than sack him 4 games into the season and getting in some knacker like Bruce , Allardyce or McLaren at short notice.

As much as I dislike him sacking him now will not improve the situation at all , we know how much souness relies on his excuses so give him till the end of the season to prove how useless he really is.

A pretty good afternoon, seven goals, could and should have been ten, a great trick by Tel right in front of me, Ashley back, Tel equalling Cliff's record, United losing, Spurs losing, pretty damn happy at the moment. :)

I did feel sorry for their keeper, he was given hardly any protection at all, some of the time it was laughable.

Happy days. :D
