January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

It's literally ridiculous to say he hasn't been a very good signing, so far. The key is how the form continues for the rest of this season, and the next, though.

So scoring a dozen or so goals against mid table to lower league teams now equals a very good signing? What's literally ridiculous is to say he has been a very good signing.

Getting more goals than Rooney, tevez...they average?

I'm sure you know full well Rooney and Tevez are far better players than Giroud even if their goal scoring has been under par so far this season

To be honest never really rated Rooney very highly. I dont think he is going to get any better. Thats just my opinion though. And as this is the only season that matters not past, then they are either average players in your eyes are just lazy and not playing to their full potential.

You are the one judging the player by his goals and against certain teams but he is scoring goals and thats his job. He had a very slow start and didnt get a goal for his first half dozen games. Why isnt Rooney or Tevez scoring against these MID table teams?

And the significant number of assists, in his debut season, when many of his appearances have been as a sub?

You keep saying that but do you know the actual facts? Giroud has started 18 times and made 11 further appearances from the bench and almost all his goals have been from starts (I think it's around 3 goals from the bench 2 of which was against Newcastle in the 7-3 and 1 was in the 4-7 league cup game against Reading)

Why is this the only season that matters? Because it suits your argument? And no so far Rooney hasn't been at the races so far this season.

Giroud has 13 goals in all comps so far this season, Rooney has 10, so the difference isn't exactly huge anyway* but Giroud has played over 200 more minutes so that might be a reason why he's currently got those 3 more.

*take the 3 scored against Coventry and Brighton away and they're level

EDIT: Rooney's now only 2 goals behind :)

Its not that it suits my argument(although it is helpful)but you cant influence games from past performances.

Our starting attacking force is fine its our defending that is the main problem.

Sagna is out of contract at the end of the season, hoping he sees money elsewhere and leaves for free. Been great in the past but his performances are getting worse and worse.

Tomorrow I want to see a new LB and RB signed. Then Messi if we have change :p

Rodgers has told 5live and a journo from our official site that there will be no more business from us however in his post match press-conference he wasn't quite so certain, saying a deal for Tom Ince is complicated and it would be unlikely to happen this window.

Everton now in talks with Sevilla about a deal for striker Alvaro Negredo. Moyes also hoping to get another in but time is tight.

It's on!!! I don't want to sleep!

Fer seems gutted that the deal is apparently off.

Leroy Fer on the website of Sports Promotion reacted to the cancellation of his transfer from FC to Everton.

"I stayed until the last minute hoping that keep the clubs there would come together. Now that fails I have a moment to myself. I had in mind already in Liverpool, I looked forward to this step convert. Yeah, and if that still is blown there, I have just sick of yes. "

"Everyone has done everything to get around this transfer. Rob Jansen (fiduciary ed.), my father, my friend, everybody showed his good will to the thing to help and keep going. I was even willing to take financial thinking in the resulting problem. But nothing helped. then it becomes difficult to reach a compromise. Though I had all this time had hoped. "

"I'm just approved by the doctors in England. The only comment we made was on my knee I'm four months ago to surgery. The meniscus is firmly back in order, but the wound is still fresh, although I can easily back play. Everton then decided the payment method to adjust. Slightly more security installation than for the inspection. I could there be something to imagine, especially if you have this kind of money talks. But Twente stuck to the previously reached agreement. This agreement there was also that nobody has ever denied. Yet some flexibility it had nevertheless also have. Especially when you consider the provisions in my contract that I'm standing on a transfer, I had expected that all would be well. "

As has been reported elsewhere already on my drive home from GP, #EFC are in talks to sign Alvaro Negredo.

The Spain international is now Moyes' number one target and Blues hoping to get him for £9m. #EFC #Negredo

If Blues can't persaude Sevilla to sell for that price (they currently want more like £13m) they'll turn to another La Liga striker #EFC

I can see two, maybe three come in today.

I have work to be getting on with, but Transfer Deadline Day is something special 99.99% off the time.

Negredo / Fer
Some Lower League Signing
A loan.

I doubt we'd get both of them to be honest.

Samba has apparently passed his medical and QPR are in for David Bentley so say SSN... I'd cry if I was a QPR fan!

'Boro have bid £5m for Danny Graham.
