Sagnas contract is up in the summer. Leaving us only jenkinson so it wouldn't hurt to get someone else in at RB now. ...unless he is planning on signing Sagna up again... Hopefully not.
Santos was rumoured to be on his way out but with Gibbs injured that isn't going to happen.
It's so laughable, Gibbs is a sicknote, that he's played as much as he has is surprising, Wenger should have basically given Santos away to anyone at all on the first day of the transfer window and brought in a replacement.
Gibbs has been attrocious defensively all season, Gibbs I feel shouldn't even be back up for a top four club, because he can't defend and he's a bit rubbish going forward.
He has 3 assists total this year, 1 in a 7-3 against Newcastle, and 2 in the 5-2 against Reading... he's been directly responsible for WAY more goals conceded than he's been directly involved in goals scored for us.
He can't defend, he's pretty hopeless going forward(pace, can beat a man using pace, his delivery is rubbish), before now he's never been fit for this long in a season. Honestly I'd happily accept any deal for him, Redknapp would probably through 10mil at us for him, sell Santos, buy two LB's, team improves, job done.
The only truly brilliant thing is how bad Santos really is, because the only reason anyone rates Gibbs at all, for anything... is seeing Santos play

Its like the second worst left back in the world being made to look great but playing the absolute worst left back in the world every now and then.
2 quality fullbacks and a half decent back up would drastically change Arsenal, we have a solid central midfield(with Arteta fit), we have some good strikers, most misused, in Kos/Verm we have a decent CB pair. Two fullbacks will help our CB's keep a good defence going, and two fullbacks who can actually cross, and even sometimes shoot well, would make a difference at both ends of the pitch. Podolski isn't really a winger so a quality fullback who can push on as Podolski comes infield is important, same goes for Walcott, and defensively, cb's are hung out to dry by missing fullbacks.
