January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

However of that list I expect Simpson to leave soon, we should really try and get rid of Williamson too, Harper should be retiring soon! So that could be us down to only 7.

But we have the following U21 players who may be considered HG when they pass 21:
Davide Santon
Gael Bigirimana
Sammy Ameobi
Haris Vuckic
Shane Ferguson
James Tavernier
Mehdi Abeid

Santon wont count as you have to be at an English club for 3 years prior to turning 21 to qualify as home grown (and 3 years in the same club to be trained in club for European football squad quotas), he's 22 now so shouldn't end up as home grown as he joined in summer 2011.

Everyone else has been at the club/an english club long enough to end up home grown though.

There's still talk of Jenkinson going out on loan. Madness if true...

I'm going to cry if this happens, but I wouldn't be surprised, Jenks would do a better job at right back than Sagna, OR a better job at left back than Gibbs or Santos, yet can't get a game.

I'm actually not 100% against him going out on loan in terms of being the first choice right back next year, and having played for the previous 6 months rather than been sat on a bench. In terms of Arsenal though, he should be starting now, why is Wenger favouring a right back who he is supposedly letting leave at the end of the year rather than improving Jenkinson. If next year Sagna is gone, is it better to have Jenks with a good season for 30-35 games under his belt, or a season with 10 games, all in the first couple months?

In terms of backup, if Sagna got injured and we'd loaned him out, its insane. If you pretend Sagna is world class, you should still be resting him more than he has been to protect a good player, so Jenks should still be getting more games than he is now. Wenger does not rotate players, yeah Santos is crap but Gibbs is a sicknote, why not put Jenks in every 2-3 games to help give Gibbs a rest.... no, its play till you're injured, then as soon as they get back the back up gets shafted again no matter how well they were playing, like Jenks, Sagna got fit and boom, Jenks was thrown away basically.

There isn't any situation in which the treatment of Jenks, favouring of Sagna, or refusal to protect injury prone players makes sense.

Sevilla have literally no money, so that's why we're hammering them for Negrado, Reyes has been linked with a move away and Navas as well, but their chairman is a machine apparently and basically won't listen to anyone. :D

You must know how that feels :p

Pardew claiming that our business is done and dusted. It's probably true.

I wouldn't mind seeing Danny Simpson leave, doubt we will sign him to another contract in the summer, so we should have cashed in while we could.

Shame we didn't sign a striker, we are really relying on Cisse now!

Four and a half year deal for Samba on £100,000 a week. That is absolutely crazy.

Dear god . Talk about throwing money away to keep themselves out of the relegation battle. Hope QPR go down like a sack of rotting spuds, wonder if 'Arry will stick around if they do go down or will Fernandes sack his dodgy backside.

There's still talk of Jenkinson going out on loan. Madness if true...

It is madness but if Wenger isnt going to play him then a loan move will be good for him...at least he will get some playing time but id rather see him play ahead of Sagna, who is atrocious now.

Watch what happens in the summer, Wenger will give Sagna a 5 yr deal on £80k or something equally stupid. Like DM says, we should be looking at buying some LBs and RBs so we can throw Santos onto the scrap heap along with Sagna and Gibbs as well.

The dream is over...

"It's impossible. Negredo is an important player for Sevilla and I am absolutely sure nothing will be done in this window.

"I know they have spoken to Everton but there is no way it will happen. Unfortunately there is no chance because Sevilla simply don't want to lose him, and if they do they will ask for crazy money."

Spurs are literally hunting down Damiao now it seems.

Norwich's 4th bid for Gary Hooper has been rejected.

In case anyone hasn't seen how Graham feels about Sunderland...

Not even a sniff of a completely unbelievable transfer yet let alone one that might be true. Wenger needs shooting after what he said just before the window opened.

Has Samba ever even been that good...?

Not really, was big and bullied people off the ball a lot, gave away a few free kicks when he was being unsubtle about it and is a beast on FM (therefore most teams love him because on FM he is good).

No way 100k per week good, but is a 100k a week better than Anton Ferdinand.

Hell id be happy if we just got rid of Santos today, that would be like a new signing for Arsenal:p.

8 and half hrs left and nothing on the Arsenal front and i dont expect there to be. Watching SSN and they havent even mentioned Arsenal once since 10am this morning :(
