January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

Anderson wants to leave according to Sky

Manchester United midfielder Anderson claims he has tried to leave the Premier League club 'many times' but the matter is out of his hands.

The Brazil international joined the Red Devils from Porto in 2007 but has failed to establish himself as a regular starter.

When asked if he could return to Portugal, the 24-year-old admitted he wants to leave Old Trafford but he remains under contract.

He told Globo Esporte: "What can I say? I have three more years of contract, I have tried to leave many times and never succeeded to do so."

While he would like to play for the Brazil national team again - his last appearance was back in 2008 - he is focused on the club's second leg against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, as well as United's relentless push towards regaining the Premier League crown.

He added: "The national team is always good but we have to think about the second leg and about the English league."

pfft if you can fit through the door mate dont let it hit you in the arse on your way out.

His form has been average to woeful when he has played this season anyway, he hasn't even had the decency this season to do his usual play epically for a month and get people speaking about him as the great midfield problem solver.

We're never going to make the 19m back on him so if there's anyone in Europe that will take him for over 10m I'd sell.

He has been a wasted spot in our squad for too long imo that could be (much) better utilized.......he may be a legend but I would include Scholesy in that also

Ando has a good game every now and then but doesnt fight for his place hard enough to get a run of games together to be able to keep fully fit.

Anyone watch the latest Revista de la Liga? Ballague says 'for the money that Real paid for Modric they could have bought Santi Cazorla and Isco' and then just dwells in the awkard silence.

I actually think it was good business. Real got him below what he was worth ;).

I wouldn't mind Anderson in our midfield (Everton), a lot of United fans didn't rate Gibson much during his time at Old Trafford - but since coming to Goodison Park he's been an massive part of our pass-heavy midfield.

Depending on the price (Gibson was only £2m) then I think it'll be worth a gamble.

Its different opinions on what is bad.

For a team challenging to win things he's not up to it, for a team that gets lauded as a success because it has won a third of its games over a season then yes, he looks OK.

+1

If / when Everton get to play CL games (or even challange for the title in a year or two) the likes of Gibson will become a liability.

Good squad member for that level of club currently, but not much higher.

I wouldnt be that shocked, but if Anderson goes for as little as Gibson that might just show how desperate SAF is to get fresh faces into the squad. I seem to recall Gibson was a graduate of the academy so the £2m or so was in one sense pure profit - Ando was an expensive import (anywhere between £17-£20m depending on what article you find), if anything he will probably head back to Portugal I would think.

Everton have very little funds, and I don't think these will ever increase, thus why Moyes is looking to move on.

They won't be challenging for any titles. :p

Never really understood why some of these rich wanna be team owners have never fancied Everton. Decent ground, great fans, rich history. No brainer when I win the euromillions...

Decent ground! what!

Wasn't Sheikh Mansour interested in Everton but Kenwright put him off so he went and bought City?

Thank God that he did! :D

quite a lot of the fans have blamed the current owner for messing up a few deals in the past ( Im not sure how accurate this is, but he is often blamed)

Everyone's favourite thief bradly wright-Phillips has gone on loan to brentford for the rest of the season.

Found out badly in the champ with one goal in 21 appearances he's quietly shuffling to prove him self again at l1 before cafc release him.
