January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

Well in fairness he has managed to get exactly one thing right in his career as a football manager, Cisse is utter utter turd. Getting rid of him as soon as possible was essential (as well as Anton Ferdinand). Two players living off reputation and FM stats opposed to actual performances...

Anyway it is fun to see the light slowly dawning that 'Arry is a clueless muppet (instead of it being limited to fans of his old clubs), it's amazing he's employed to do the job he does when he is so monumentally bad at it.

I will take a lot of delight seeing QPR in the champ as there will have to be a fire sale of comical proportions of players that are about as easy to sell as a dead horse... (and a fight over Julio Cesar who is the only player in their squad left with any credibility)

Didn't see the game but apparently Ince outshone Zaha in tonight's under 21 game, Zaha played as a striker by all accounts

It's getting difficult to ignore Ince now. I've only seen odd bits of him on the Football League show but as well as the 2 he scored last night for the u-21's, he's got 16 goals and 10 assists playing wide in a bottom to mid-table Blackpool side.

If we are going to still be in for him in the summer then I hope, as was reported in January, he's set on a move to us because if he keeps up this form until the end of the season he won't come cheap. With him only having 1 year on his deal then we'll hopefully be in a strong bargaining position come the summer.

They will be asking for Zaha money in the summer regardless of how long he has on his contract, Blackpool's chairman is a ****. Very surprisng how much he has kicked on.

Why is he a ****? He'll do whatever it takes to get as much money for his player as possible. They can ask what they like but if (and it's only an if) Ince is set on joining us and like he did in January, he rejects moves elsewhere then we hold all the cards. As much of a **** as you think Blackpool's chairmen is, he's not going to allow Ince to leave on a free in a years time.

Read up a bit on what past managers etc have said about his views.

Regarding Ince only wanting to move to us, if your choices are Liverpool, Reading & Swansea ofc you're going to want to move to us. We'll see if the desire is still there if Arsenal, Manu, Spurs are in for him shall we.

As I said, if he's set on joining us. And re Oyston, it seems like he gets called a **** because he kicks up a fuss and makes it as difficult as possible for sides trying to sign his players, which is kind of his job.

Just read some news on the bbc sports website that might cheer DM up, there's mention that Santos might be getting loaned out by arsenal to Gremio.

Nothing to get excited about that though is there?? we still pay his wages and thats the issue there that we cant get rid of these players ie sell them. The best that we can do until their contracts finish is loan them out when there is no place in the squad for them. Loaning them out for a season or half a season isnt going to fix the current rubbish we have languishing in the squad.

Nothing would make me more happier than to see Santos and a few others get booted out of Arsenal and not by loaning them out but rather selling them, even if its for £1:p

well for one he won't be playing for arsenal :D

loaning him out hopefully means wenger has come to his senses and realises hes no use as a left back, so is looking to get rid, big hope i know but trying to look on the bright side :).

on the downside, not really aware of many loan examples from arsenal actually leading to moves ?

And you know that how?

Because usually with our loan moves, we end up paying their wages as the loan teams dont want to ***** £60k a week for these Arsenal players;).

Obviously i dont know for a fact that is the case but im 99.9% sure of it.

Well thats one good thing to come out of the loan i suppose but knowing our luck, the move might break down:p. Still id rather us see him leave us completely so that we dont keep paying his wages. Funny that a few weeks ago, Wenger was saying he still had a future at Arsenal.

Not sure if any of our loan moves have resulted in permanent moves to the clubs.

But the sooner Wenger gets rid of these useless rubbish players, the better as it means we can try and replace them with better players who are worth £60k+ a week.

EDIT: As Hangtime just posted a few of our players have gone on loan only for them to make the move permanent.

know wiki is not always that reliable, but it shows muamba as 0 appearances, larsson as 3 and vela 29 (over 7 yrs), santos is listed as playing 23 games already.

so none really considered first team players, i was thinking more along the lines, recently, of denilson, bendtner etc ?

just think wenger either sees something at training for some players that they don't deliver on the pitch, or hes blind to the fact he makes bad decisions transfer wise sometimes

Justin Hoyte played over 30 games for Arsenal before being loaned out and then sold for £3m (albeit to a different club).

It's hard to find example of first team players simply because genuine first team players don't get loaned out very much :) Aside from Djourou the two closest things you've cited already (Denilson and Bendtner) and the problem then probably comes that we'd want a transfer fee (Bendtner supposedly had an £8m pricetag or so).

Personally I can see the logic in having loaned out young players so they gain experience (e.g. Wilshere and the guys I mentioned earlier) but once players reach maturity I'd rather they get sold if they aren't part of the manager's plans (Denilson, Bendtner etc). With Chamakh I'm not sure, he is seemingly out of favour but I'm not sure he's dispensable just yet and at £80k/week I can see him wanting to see out his contract. I think we need to retain one of Bendtner/Chamakh next season (they both have another year on their contracts I believE) as cover for Giroud as there aren't really any other target men in the squad.

I'd imagine Vermaelen will be playing at LB against ze germans

Tbh, I'd rather Giroud playing LB than Santos!

Looks like it as Monreal is cup tied so he wont be able to play.

LOL Giroud should play as CB or something, he made some brilliant headers in defence when we were being pounded by Sunderland in the 2nd half:p. He couldnt score so should put him as CB for the lulz:p
