January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

Its lazy because Sinclair wouldnt be able to play :P
He's played for Swansea and City already and you can't play for more than two teams in one season.

City's plan according to Sunday Times: 5-6 elite players backed up by well-scouted "mid-tier" footballers capable of becoming world class.
Could see the end for Kolarov, Lescott, Milner, Dzeko and Kolo.

There is even a rumour Lescott deal to Everton is done at 6.5m. Many of the other players I am sure would be desirable for many clubs and we could use the funds to buy the likes of Benat, Franco and Isco who we have been linked with and then utilize Razak and Guidetti who are talented also.

I know, that's why I said it was lazy.
I thought you was just saying that they are lazy because they are picking a player at random seemingly and linking him to Everton.
That is one unique and crazy plan the City board have come up with, that must have taken years of thought. :o
Well considering what seemed to be our previous plan under Marwood it is a lot better.

Its got the air of made up journalism. City know full well that to conquer europe you need to spend and spend, especially with the shocking state of british youth players and coaching. There is no way in the next 5 years they can produce a squad capable of winning titles on coaching alone. For starters the current youth team isnt supposed to be much cop from what i have read.

The plan will be to produce players like Barcelona of course but many wont be british i fear as you say the coaching is just not good enough unless we are picking them up at like 12yrs old and bringing them through for now though what the journalist is saying is players like Nastasic who are very talented and can become world class will be brought in to replace the likes of Kolo and Lescott.

Our youth teams don't have a very good record this year but partly its down to having new management at that level and also we have been fielding many u16s in the u18 league etc so they learn to cope quicker, same with the u21. We have only just brought in the main players at each level as well, many touted as the best at their age etc. The hope is that in the next 2-3 years we will see the benefits of all this, around the time the new academy opens.

I know it's better, it's won us 12 Premier Leagues and 2 Champions Leagues. :p That was my point.
Ah :D

There is a reason why British clubs can't produce players like their European counterparts.

Until that reason is removed, City won't be doing anything different to any other UK based club.

Ba to arsenal is getting increasingly more popular...

In other news Pardew and coloccini had a training ground bust up, and this has led to rumours he wants out. It appears a few players (colo, Cabaye, Ba) were promised things and the failure to deliver this in the summer is starting to annoy them.

I hope we can turn things around in January

I just looked back through his posts to try to work out who he supports and noticed that he seems to only post about us. He doesn't seem capable enough to wind me up though.

He actually supports Villa iirc, saw one of his posts earlier on in the weekend thread..when his team got smashed and i mean absolutely smashed to pieces by Chelsea.

Captain disagrees with manager... Wouldn't read too far into it.

It's quite amusing that Biz thinks that City are actually doing something different, though.

Funny.

Ferguson is too weak for the PL.

You be surprised at how strong he is most ex Gaelic players have great upperbody strength not seen him pushed about for Newcastle or N.Ireland. He does look like a lightweight but give him a year or two of bulking out and he be fine. Has some left foot on him

Are you talking about our transfer policy or youth teams? Either way I havent said what we are doing is new and amazing I was just saying what the apparent plan is and how it is better than our old one.

I know lots of clubs do a similar thing and have done for years.

'Respected Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri has broken some transfer news that will feel like a Christmas present for many Spurs fans this morning.

Palmeri has told TalkSPORT that Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder who is ready to move to London.

Sneijder is now waiting for Spurs and Inter Milan to agree terms with a deal of around 12 million euros set to be completed early in the transfer window.

This would be seen as a major coup for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy as Sneijder has long been linked with a move to England to sign for Manchester United.

Most recently, Russian giants Anzhi were also linked with the classy former Ajax and Real Madrid midfielder. Sneijder, according to Palmeri, sees Spurs as a rising team and is eager to play in the Premier League.

Sneijder, 28, has not played for Inter Milan for three months due to a dispute with the Nerazzurri which was reportedly over his refusal to take a pay cut.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has been keen to add creativity to his side after coming close to signing Joao Moutinho at the end of the summer transfer window.'
