Not sure about the Haaland situation but Salzburg activated a years extension to Minimino’s contract last summer that also meant a release clause of €8m Euros (I think, £ figure was about 7.5m). Somehow we got wind of this, likely by his agent after he said he’d like to go to Liverpool, whereas other teams had no idea.

I think you have to look at the sort of club Salzburg are when judging them on these contracts and buyout clauses. They're trying to establish themselves as a decent European side - they have money but they cannot attract established high level players to the Austrian League. Their answer has been to target promising youngsters with the promise of regular football. These promising youngsters are willing to join Salzburg because they're given a chance to develop and most importantly, they see a clear pathway from Salzburg to bigger European clubs. Without these buyout clauses, the pathway to bigger and better things isn't there and Salzburg won't be able to sign these players in the first place.

Cole and Saha were bought in January as well. Nearly all clubs have tinkered mid-season if you go back far enough.

Rumours of £21m bid for Xhaka, but Arsenal want more. I would let him go for that price personally.

Yeh they want close to what they originally paid for him but he’s nowhere worth that much. £21mill for him and his form of late is about right.
Reminds me of last yr when we were trying to off **** afi aka Mustafi for £30mill lol. Think it was Monaco who offered £20mill to take him, I would have bitten their hand off for that amount. Sure it would have been a loss for us but it would have rid us of a truly atrocious player.

All paper talk tbh. The only players I would like to see in United shirt are players like Sancho or Midfielders. A decent DM like Saúl Ñíguez would be my preference. This is all on the premise that Pogba stays till summer though. I am also surprised no one is after Bruno Fernandes either.

I can see United signing Grealish but only in the summer when Villa go down.

Pogba seems to be quite a disruptive player on and off the field. Ole should take a note out of SAF book and get rid ASAP.

Its like talking to people like they are mugs. You have a 90 million pound player and has some of the best sports doctors in the world and only after 3 months they figure out he needs an operation. What a load of crock.
