January Transfer Window

Nothing about Kaka maybe wanting to leave?

Nothing tangiable.
All ive read is one story that originated from Marca saying that Kaka wants to leave, and that Barca want a swap with Ronny, and Madrid/Chelsea are on alert.
All that stemmed from his comments about the fan that got killed.
Basically that paper, and the hundreds of news sites/papers that have respun it, have done their usual, blown something out of proportion. Seeing something that isnt there.

Anyone who can put the ball in the back of the net for us. Other then that, maybe having at least 90% of the squad fit for the first time in, ten years.

Only player i've heard of us to be linked with is Carson, looks like a fair chance that his loan deal will be made permanent. That would be a good signing for us imo, surprised we haven't been linked with 47,000 players thus far!

We (Villa) need a Right back at least in January. Melberg isn't good enough to play there every game. Although given who we signed in the summer I don't see it happening.

Speculation by me:
-Lehmann to be given a free transfer (he's worth at least £250k, but Wenger's style is just to cut them loose)
-Gilberto to maybe be sold (Juve?) but I'm not sure on this one. Will have to see how things pan out over the next couple of months.
-Djourou to come back from loan to cover for when Toure and Eboue are in Africa (especially if the above happens)

What I'd like to see:

-Richards in (p/x with Senderos)
-Lehmann sold for some cash
-Some kids loaned out, depending on how far we progress in the league cup
-Sign someone capable of playing left wing.... maybe Quaresma, or Downing if the price is right.

Carsons a gonner. I reckon riise is also a gonner after pieces in the media with him bleating on about how he wants to stay at Liverpool. His conduct has been as poor as his pitch performances, first the videos leak with his 'mate' showing his champions league medal off then his payslip appears on the net. He obviously mixes in the wrong circles.

I don't know about momo going anywhere. Rafa rates him, he is only young and can only get better. His first season was awesome and if he can find that form again he will be a valueable asset to the squad.

If he can bring in a replacement then I guess Crouchy will be off too. Rafa doesn't like his bird (that abby clancy...you would though ;) ) and he hasn't helped himself by mouthing off about not getting a game.

As usual though, Liverpool transfers will happen without a lot of gossip as that is the way mr benitez does his business. Plus the Liverpool Echo no longer has Chris Bascombe as the Liverpool correspondent. His replacement is a good lad but it will take time for him to gain the trust of everyone at Liverpool and get the juicy gossip that Bascombe used to get.

Chelsea still have two simple requirements, a RB who can defend and someone who can kick the ball in to the net, hopefully they'll get addressed correctly this window as Pizarro and Belletti aren't good enough and aren't long term anyway.
There's a fair bit of talk about Huntelaar, Pantelic and Alves, still,
As with every window we'll be buying Ronaldinho again and hopefully some rich mug who doesn't know much about football will take Shevchenko, it's happened before so hopefully it'll happen again ;)

I would imagine Utd may try to get a striker in to cover for Saha, that guy surely now has to take Darren Andertons "Sicknote" tag!!

Nothing wrong with Sissoko other than lack of confidence and games. He was amazing during his first season but now we've got Mascherano as well as Alonso his poor form has cost him his place. I'm sue he'll get better and become a fantastic player and whoever buys him will be getting a bargain :)

We're starting to get linked quite a bit with Javi Martinez and if these rumours are true then Sissoko leaving will be more or less a certainty.

Pigeon's got it spot on, he was excellent for the first season and a bit but since the shoulder injury he hasn't had many chances due to the signing of Mascherano and with Gerrard moving back into the middle more often. As for the few chances he has had this season, he played really well vs Sunderland but since then his form has been terrible and seems to be lacking confidence, unfortunately for him he's not going to get much of a run in the side to put that right because of the likes of Gerrard, Alonso and Mascherano.
Younger, fitter Winston Bogarde more like.

You seem to be forgetting what you said to me on msn :p
