January Transfer Window

The Mascherano story is a wind up. The start of the story is true but the bit about Utd was added by some manc and posted on some manc site. He actually said that if a deal can't be sorted then he will only move to a club abroad.

In other news we've been linked with Slovakian central defender Martin Skrtel from Zenit St Petersburg for around £4-5m.

Second part definately made up, I can remember him saying a couple of weeks ago that he would NOT play for any other english club as he feels Anfield is his home

Well, if Anelka goes to Chelsea that means he's played for every one of our rivals.

Arsenal
Liverpool
Chelsea
Man City
Bolton

His brothers/agents have ruined him. Had he stayed at Arsenal (or any of the top clubs he's been at) and just concentrated on his football he could have been one of the best strikers around. If he does move to Chelsea and settles he still may go on and become a genuine top player.

Shame really, he's a fantastic striker. Not keeping him is one of Liverpools worst business decisions of the past decade. If you'd kept him you wouldn't have had to waste money on players like Kuyt, Crouch and Voronin and although Cisse was there at the time IIRC, he might gave played a lot better with Anelka.

The worst bit about not keeping him was signing Diouf instead :(

Who rather ironically has cut the nonsense (or at least most of it) out of his game now and works very hard for his current team.
At least you got it right (or at least look to have) with Fernando Torres, though missing out on someone like Anelka must be hard to take.

Ironically one plays at the club he just turned down a move to.

He's known as Chimhonda at WHL due to his pheonomenal engine ;)

He`s had 1 good season at Wigan and surely his professionalism has to be called in to question regarding his transfer-request-hidden-in-sock routine.

But i`ll give you that. Thats one.

Well if you consider Chimbonda to be better than Hutton that opens up the door for about half a dozen other right backs in Britain who are also better. Neville, Sagna and Finnan to name 3.
