Japanese Grand Prix 2011, Suzuka Circuit - Race 15/19

Could me he decided to enter the pits last second and cut across the markings on the track? Although I thought that the Nurburgring kind of set the presidence that the entry lines meant nothing.

Lewis to spear Vettel at the next 5 races and Jenson to win? :p

Could be a plan - Jenson qualify in 7th or 8th, Lewis a bit better in 5th or 6th say, then Lewis just goes straight at turn 1, takes out all the RB and Ferrari cars, maybe a couple of Mercs too, Jenson safely out the way back in 7th then proceeds to carry on past the carnage and plod around the rest of the afternoon for the win.

Given Jenson's qualifying and starts to date and Lewis's mishaps on track, they could probably get away with this for all remaining races without anyone suspecting a thing

This is a bit of a silly question, but are the full FP's on the iplayer then? I never seem to get them!

I've got the weekend off and was really looking forward to fp3 (but dont want to watch it at 2am!) then watching quali at a normal time on sky+

Only on the main website iplayer(not on the app version or virgin media etc) and only fp1 and fp2, they don't put fp3 up.

Proper site won't work on iPad, it's flash based. You also automatically get the apple inlayer site as well.
I can only assume it's because of the small gap between fp2 and fp3.

They also do it on red button. Pretty much one after the other all day. Currently 13mins left, I hope it's fp2, because as soon as it finishes they start the other one.

yeah I knew about the red button, didnt know they replay it though, I thought it was live and thats it! . Wicked!

I didnt mean proper site on my ipad, I'll try it on my htpc.

Thanks Acid! :D

Oh for gods sake, not this again.

The floor sections are subject to stress tests the same as the wings are. If they pass, they are legal, and the fact the car has raced means its passed. There are also rules on the acceptable amount of wear on the wooden plank on the floor. Again, these are tested after the race, and if they pass, are legal. The Red Bull has not been thrown out of any race results so clearly its legal.

End of. Get on with your lives people, nothing to see here.

did you not read the link? http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/...usiv-red-bull-unterboden-illegal-4043971.html

The FIA tests the flexibility behind that mark
So the FIA did not test it for flexing..

I don't care.

The FIA make the rules, the FIA enforce the rules through FIA testing. If a car passes the FIA tests then it is legal in the eyes of the FIA.

Its as simple as that. If the floor was illegal, then it would be banned.

If there is an issue with the testing not reflecting the regulations then thats an issue with the FIA tests, and good on Red Bull for exploiting the rules to their full extent.

Isn't that shocking, the FIA are idiots - bet other teams are doing this too.

I couldn't read the link since I can't read German.

Every championship car has had something like that bordering on illegal, but often hasn't be clamped down on. The other teams just need to find these loopholes quicker to exploit them!

Nothings going to happen. The fia has made it clear that the rule book doesn't matter and that the only thing that maters in cases like this is scruteenering.

If the others are to dumb not to think of this/not be able to produce it and to not notice what fia has done over the last few years. Then that's their fault not RBR.

I don't get why, like team orders they don't just get rid of maximum flex rules, it's impossible to police and just use scrutenering like they are doing anyway.

Yes I've changed my opinion, because when it first kicked of we didn't know how fia would handle it. Its been over a year(must be getting on for three or even four since first rumours?) now and every time the FIA has said it passed the tests it's legal.therefore re as should respond and do the the same.

What AH2 said. RBR have designed a car around the tests, while others look to have designed it to the letter of the regulation.

And rather than shut up and get on with it, they are to bitter about the fact they didn't think of it so are now complaining.

The FIA only ban what they can see as thier tech guys are stupid.
Toyota\Ferrari has had flexi parts banned in the past and Mclaren had the Fduct banned.

What they can't test and can't see they won't ban even if it's illegal..
Fapping Idiots Aerosoles :) (no swearies)
