Japanese Grand Prix 2013, Suzuka - Race 15/19

i see they put the wrong kers in each drivers car!!

Only just watched this. Well done RG another good Quali,
NH is putting in a good bid for thee lotus seat
nice to see massa ahead of alonso

RG for third, and the obvious for 1-2

With out kers vimto car was not making that back off sound...

Just to add more fuel to the CT fire, Vettel had a massive oversteer moment round the spoon corner when his kers was broken. Next time round the kers was fixed and he got round just fine.

Personally i doubt they have TC, but i would really like to see the FIA do some sort of test that means the FIA can get to the car before the drivers have a chance to press a button to delete the TC code, just so we can put our minds at rest

Or he was pushing harder to try to make up the difference because he was missing KERS?

****'s sake guys. Is the basis for TC the one video where the only car on track alone sounded coarser than those with other cars in the vicinity? A guy who could barely manage to get a team off the last row of the grid, a team which was improved when Paul Stoddard took over?

You're trying to come up with reasons why Vettel is the fastest guy, and all of those reason fall into two categories: bending the rules or breaking the rules.

I would love to know how KERS could manipulate torque negatively. It simply must be KERS, because previously it was the ECU, but then it couldn't be he ECU, because McLaren ES provide the ECU. So it must be KERS!

I'm as bored as the rest of you of Vettel romping to win after win, but reading this forum makes me thankful I'm not snobbish enough to jump to conspiracy theories after a guy has a run of success.

As you apply the throttle the KERS system could harvest energy until which time full power can be applied.

Make shift TC!

Either way, Vettle has won it and for that reason I'm now interested in who comes second.

What the actual ***?!

Pic has been given a Drive through penalty for an incident he did at the end of Q1.

He missed the red light and drove through it. Ok, fine... give him a big fine or a grid penalty *which he already has*. Instead he has to perform a drive through penalty sometime in the first 5 laps.

New one on me.

Does it really matter if Vettel gets in front or not? If Weber is first and Vettel second with Alonso ninth, Webber will get his instructions. The interesting part will be if Weber ignores them, and, tbh, I hope he does..

Well as Vettel is much quicker than Webber it wont matter, he will be able to go past him like taking candy from a baby.

Interesting bit just now by Gary Anderson showing footage of the thermal camera on the Red Bull car. The metal front part of the floor/plank area was scrapping the ground which other cars don't do, so picking up some good ground effect/aero from it being nice and low.
