Japanese Grand Prix 2014, Suzuka - Race 15/19

Unlikely any fight. It's meant to be an utter wash out.
98% chance of Rosberg leading by half a point by the end of a very short parade lap.

Really ? dammit, i've not been following this week at all. Just hearing now on the beeb about the weather :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:( Safety car wins don't count.

They really need to drop this silly practice of moving the race times for European audiences.

Well done, Rosberg, but I still back Lewis to win tomorrow if there is a race.

And another forecast saying heavy rain and thunderstorms from 6am to 8pm. With 80% chance over the race window.

Been sleepy and wanting to go to bed for hours, now it's over I'm feeling awake, albeit with a massive crab craving.

Watched on iplayer as couldn't be bothered to get out of bed

If it is raining at least we will know it won't get any better
If there's any hint of all SC I will go back to sleep

Bad news Lewis not getting pole.
Tomorrow could be a disaster with the rain.

This is one of the most stupid rules, why only 2 laps?

6.5 If a race is suspended under Article 41, and cannot be resumed, no points will be awarded if the leader has completed less than two laps, half points will be awarded if the leader has completed more than two laps but less than 75% of the original race distance and full points will be awarded if the leader has completed 75% or more of the original race distance.

That's what bundle said in qualifying, if they start behind safety car and do 2 laps half points can be awarded.

Edit - d'oh' read quote properly before replying.

Early morning start, 2 laps, SC.. Going to be worse than the USA gp with the tyre fiasco

And in a season when every point is critical thanks to the stupid double points. So you need to every point available to try and get a decent lead.

Maybe Ferrari, mclaren and RBR have been playing games to allow something to talk about tomorrow.

RBR state where Vet is going, then Ferrari and mclaren hold back till tomorrow and announce after 2 laps. Lots of speculation why, it's just to give people something to talk about for 2hrs tomorrow.

Super typhoon with 150mph winds and upto 8" of rain. And worst rain scheduled for start of race.

Last I saw the typhoon itself isn't going to hit the track, just the knock-on effects of it, so heightened winds and rain, but they're not going to have the actual eye of the storm, so to speak.

If they can't change the start time then it's unlikely they'll even start. There's zero point in starting the race behind safety car if it's already too wet as there's little chance it will improve before darkness sets in.

Other than they can say they raced and award half points. Two laps is all they have to do and that can be behind the safety car.

Ted with local weather, saying 11mm of rain an hour at race start.

Vettel is unusual for modern F1 in that he doesn't have a manager. I find it refreshing.

If you look at the messes that the UberMegaManagementCorps have made for drivers like Button over the years it's a good thing. They're F1 drivers, not ******* Golf-ists.

So in the spirit of silly season and having noticed that the 'tasche is back... Mansell to replace Maldonardo at Lotus and make a glorious return 30 years later?

Rosberg will get beaten tomorrow, especially if it rains.

We can but hope.

Fell asleep again after my earlier posts, recorded qualy and just watched it.

If they are going to move the race time, I hope they tell us soonish, don't want to go to bed, wake up and miss it!

It's the crews after the race they need to factor in, having to pack up in a typhoon, and not just the race itself.
