Japanese Grand Prix 2014, Suzuka - Race 15/19

Wow. Such rumour. Much made up. Very unsubstantiated.

Although Vettel must surely be looking at that Ferrari seat. He has another 10 years in F1 in him, so he can afford to go to Ferrari on a promise they never manage to fulfill, flounder away in the midfield for a few years, and then go somewhere else and still rack up a few more titles :p

:D

Wouldn't you? FE vs F1 is a no brainer, unless you like sunday driving...

Having seen the FE cars testing at Donington i can confirm it is the most ultra boring thing imaginable to see or hear. Slow cars that barely make a sound, just a very feathered whispy electric wooshing. Yawn.

What else shall we discuss? The drivers thing is covered in another thread, and with this weather there likely won't be a race.

How about the price of sushi at the track?
Woooooooh there Leslie. I like it because that's what is the main thing that we should be talking about at the moment. I can't believe that there isn't any sort of decision on what is going to happen with the race yet.

There has been. Nothing.

The race will start at 3pm as planned. If they have to delay it or start under a SC then they will. They won't be bringing it forward.

We can't talk about the weather at the Japanese GP in the Japanese GP thread. We can't talk about driver signings at the Japanese GP in the japanese GP thread.

Well isn't this fun, all we need is a washout to totally kill everyt... oh wait...

Some people really need to lighten up.

I'm perfectly fine. Step away from the keyboard and engage your brain.

Read the rest of the thread and you should pick up I was having a wee dig at leaskovski. ;)

Pretty hard to say until closer to race time. Could end up with a bit of a breeze and a sprinkling of rain, they just won't know til nearer the time. If they were to cancel it now and this typhoon ends up missing then they would be ridiculed. Can't take that chance.

Yep, no way could they or should they cancel. The only choice they might of made was to decide to race earlier and take the financial hit, which would have probably been far less than a 2lap race.

Of course there's a chance we will just have a normal' wet race.
But they'll look pretty silly if it's disable at 10am and not at 3pm-5:30pm.

You step away dude, I was here before you, engage your brain and see that I wasn't digging at you :)

Please everyone a pinch on salt please, this is getting too serious, too boring and way to complicated for those of us that have a sense of humour.

Or (and this is a crazy one).. sleep

Been on nights all week and nights tomorrow, so sleep pattern atm would be to go to bed at 4-7am.
So yes a pretty crazy suggestion, unlikely to be able to sleep and why mess up sleep pattern.

Marshmallows, would mean leaving the house to go to the 24hr Tesco, that doesn't sound fun.

All ready watched the entire kill point series this afternoon.

Am I missing something every forecast I'm looking at is saying the worst to come on Monday and Sunday is a "two rain dropper" and race should go ahead albeit a wet race

Yes look at others. It's anywhere from 1.1mm per hour to heavy storms.
Weather forecast for the f1 teams forecasted 11mm per hour at race time, but that was at qualifying, so new weather forecasts will have changed.

Basically massive uncertainty, but BBC tweeted it's raining atm.

So as we are , I checked 2 hours ago light rain for the race and the main storm to hit Monday:confused:

Typhoons can obviously be unpredictable as I found out to my cost in NT Australia a few years ago

It depends on which weather forecast you are on, for the race some are predicting light rain, some heavy storms and some in between.

Yes main storm Monday. Bit some are still predicting storms on race.

Atm it's light rain and inter conditions, however everyone is saying it gets worse throughout the day, so light rain now isn't a great sign. As even the ones predicting light rain at race, where predicting fairly dry morning.

It's one of those thing might be fine or a wash out, no one knows. Other than 99% wet, it's just how wet.

Just watching Teds qualifying note book.
