You absolutely can let your staff dictate who you do business with, it's actually part of the job in hospitality.
In fact I've kicked out quite a few people with racist/homophobic/sexist views that they felt comfortable sharing. I don't see this as being any different.

I know very little about Vance but I do respect his views on the erosion of freedom of speech here in the UK.
As for the pub I have read SOTI that the staff and locals were fed up with the all the restrictions in place and the goings on of the Secret Service etc.

As far as I know its actually the opposite? All he's expressed is concern over free speech and changes for the worse in our society, which given all the stories over the past few years is hardly unfounded.
More people are arrested here for speech related incidents here than in Russia. Non crime hate events is one of the egregious things I have ever seen and an absolute waste of resources on an already pathetic police force, especially in terms of actual crime being solved or even investigated.
Even our allies are raising their warning levels for travel advice to the UK, something that is a deeply concerning problem.

Guess we will have to agree to disagree that pleasuring animals is acceptable (if it was done over 5 years ago).

Yeah "as a joke" was a good one after it was called out is a convient excuse. He wasn't joking at the time at all. I suppose his stipulation that the animal should also be getting pleasure from it was also out of context?
I don't have any sympathy for the treatment of criminals (If its the MS-13 reference Trump made during a speach to police officers you're talking about) its weird you think the two are even comparable.
Oh it was also 8 years ago, so by your metric of 5+ years ago anything goes im not sure why you're bringing it up?

So deporting a child to another country that has cancer is totally ok?
I presume if your family gets arrested on suspicion of a crime you're ok with removal of due process, and fine with police bruality if the cop beats your kid until they're unalived. Remember he's a criminal.

Then you should be happy that there are still businesses owners who respect staff's opinions and don't treat them like tools.
An employee refusing to do their job in this fashion very much would be grounds for dismissal. It's not a 'right' of employees to act in manners which sometimes could open up there employers to vicarious liabilities.
The 1st amendment undeniably grants Amercans far more freedom to speak their minds, without government interference, than is increasingly the case in the UK.

Given the fact that the owners haven’t actually gone on the record to say anything about this, I suspect they weren’t too arsed whether Vance came to their pun or not, and may have been quite happy not to have to put up with the fuss of clearing the place for him and having it full of secret service. They’re probably quite happy to let this get pinned on “the staff”, none of whom are on record either.
As I said earlier, I don’t believe there’s anything at all substantial to this story.
