Do people still pay for sky....Need to get the quota's in. Forget about decent broadcasting. No one will have money for sky at this rate anyway!
Yes, millions do.Do people still pay for sky....
I think they just want more trolly dolly's on TV as sometimes it's boring so at least there is something to look at.Has anyone in this thread actually got the ******** to say what they mean or are you going to stick with the “urban”/”quotas” nonsense?
Happy to say what I mean, I think its really sad that all the "older" people are leaving, admittedly they dont look as good, all haggard and old like but they have a wealth of decades of football knowledge and insight. Well, most of them anyway, plus they are characters and funny/entertaining, sometimes by accident. The younger presenters might well look better on screen but they lack camaraderie and character, they're largely too robotic and "too professional" and not so laid back/relaxed.Has anyone in this thread actually got the ******** to say what they mean or are you going to stick with the “urban”/”quotas” nonsense?
I didn't think your posts were unreasonable tbf. I think Sky's approach is driven far more by cost-cutting and adjusting to a different broadcasting landscape than anything else. These presenters were probably on hefty salaries after years with Sky and I imagine Soccer Saturday viewership is lower than ever. They've managed the transition badly by not gradually introducing new faces to the panel over time so now this looks like a wholesale change. However, people like Merson, Le Tissier etc were past their sell by date a long time ago so this is overdue. Stelling will be missed but sure he'll have no trouble finding other work.Happy to say what I mean, I think its really sad that all the "older" people are leaving, admittedly they dont look as good, all haggard and old like but they have a wealth of decades of football knowledge and insight. Definitely agree that Soccer Saturdays viewership is probably at an all time low, I think it will get even lower yet (same for BT Sports football coverage as well). When Sky first came onto the football coverage scene it pretty much revolutionized the way football was covered, I think we're about to go through another revolution of how football is covered in the next couple of years, whether for the better or the worse remains to be seen.I didn't think your posts were unreasonable tbf.
