Surprised he wasn't using a helicopter
Helicopters are pretty standard for the rich in Sao Paolo because of the heavy traffic and the risk of this kind of thing.
Is Brazil really this dangerous
Worth watching (ignore the COD MW2 MP level of teh same name).
6 men brandishing machine guns while your stuck in traffic in a reinforced car i for one would be bricking it, Would a reinforced car handle upto 6 machine guns hitting it i very much dout it
Firstly I doubt they had 'machine guns' - more likely AK47s etc...

Secondly you'd be surprised at what some of these cars can withstand. I was in Iraq a few years ago and the CP team for the British General had just taken delivery of a bunch of silver mercedes G wagons - they were allegedly supposed to be able to take a few hits from an RPG.
They took a window out to the firing range and fired a .50 cal at it - The window did stop the rounds - it didn't look too pretty after and the first layer of glass was smashed/cracked etc.. but these windows are a few inches thick and really do stop bullets.
If they had AK's i'd be pretty worried even in an armoured car. Still one of the most powerful rifles ever made even after all these years?
???
If these windows can survive a .50 cal then an AK isn't going to be a problem - not that I wouldn't also be worried too at the time but chances are you'd be OK.
Just because these windows can take a .50 round a couple of times doesnt mean they can survive 200 rounds sustained from a bunch of AK's though. They are designed to take a few shots while you or your driver gets you the hell out of there, not sit waving at your assailants for 30 minutes
So they didn't open fire?
Does sound a bit sensationalised. There is absolutely no mention in the story that the car came under attack.
Good job Jenson wasn't driving, would still be trying to get away, blaming wrong tyres!!
