Jessops to go into administration ?

I'd bet someone is going to ripped a new bumhole being as Mr Jones has been all over the BBC and Sky this morning stating in every interview that the website would be live at 12pm.

im guessing, as he stated matching jessop's rather than uk based websites. so sounds like its not going to be that much cheaper. but as iv said im guessing he may come in and undercut amazon but doubtful.

But Jessops own website before used to be competitive on some products, like each of the other camera retailers had some higher and lower prices. If the stores match the Jessops prices and they are competitive that will be a good thing, especially with the collect at store system being available.

yeah they will be a bit more competitive which should hopefully mean they can survive and provide a service but by the sounds of it il be using my local shop more, even compared to amazon his stuff's just a few quid more when you factor in postage.

Peter Jones buys Jessops

Not really much of a topic here but from his interview, it's obvious he is really worried about the high street shops disappearing, in other words it will hit all his businesses hard if they do. Such a liar though, he makes out he's trying to save the high street when in reality he's actually trying to save his own wallet. Hope he goes down.

DM alert.

Lots of hate for a man who has saved a few jobs and kept some stores open. How dare he make a profit!

Its not either/or you know...It is possible to want to save the highstreet stores AND want to make money at the same time.

Hopefully he will do well with them. If you have low prices, people will shop there. Just look at supermarkets.

That will be his main opposition, the little camera stalls in supermarkets. Good luck to the mad sock wearing man.
