Job changing hours

Could always ask for money, I guess it's kinda borderline as 7am isn't all that early and 7pm isn't all that late.

If it were say 6am to midnight or a 24/7 operation then you might want additional shift payments like £100 per day for working at silly hours late at night etc...

But if your contract doesn't say anything about potentially having to work different hours then might as well ask for money. (Obvs you've said it says 9-5 but are there any further clauses that you may have missed that state that might be subject to change?)

Personally, back in my support days, I used to love the shift patterns.
The earlies were great in the summer (early finish), but not so good in the winter (defrosting the car).
The late shifts 11-7 were my personal favourite as very little to support in the last 2 hours, so had plenty of time to study for new certs whilst being paid. Look for the positives.

It did help that we also got a shift allowance added to our wage as well.

...friendly! I guess I'll just go then. Just shows how newcomers are treated around these parts...

Maybe you should have signed upto to mumsnet if you have a hard time making adult dissisions, instead of computer forum
