Attending project meetings to discuss the different projects that I am involved in and writing reports.

Overall Job

Performing Non-Functional testing on any new software / updates going to the stores and training the Retail IT Service Desk on how to support the software.

Perks

Opportunities in Specsavers are huge so I can see myself staying here for the long run!

Downsides

The only downside to this job is it's location as it's about 26 miles from where I live so it does take a fair while to get there!

Education?

National Diploma in Software Development and Higher National Diploma in ICT Systems Support.

Technical Support / Admin

Day to day

Resolving technical issues from End User problems to issues with our LL or ADSL suppliers - very mixed.
Also moving products from one property to another and adding/removing services.

Overall Job

Same as above really.

Perks

I get paid.

Downsides

40 mile commute.

Education?

National Diploma in ICT Systems Support and Cisco networking.

Do you like your job?

It's a good step onto the IT and comms ladder, so yes :)
