What a **** idiot, secret tours of SB and this "sponsorship" garbage - I never wanted him as England Captain (as previous posts here prove) , I never thought he was this much of a scumbag though
 
John terry isn't Englands best defender, or chelseas tbh. He shouldn't be captain of either. A **** role model full stop.

Rio cant until his fitness improves (he was my choice when the Captaincy was up for grabs originally)

Would love to see WR as Captain I just dont think strikers play in the right part of the pitch personally to be a very good captain (Its been done in the past very well I know, I just prefer centre half of central midfielder to be captain)
 
Don't think any of the current crop of players are good role models on or off the pitch. Most have been done for speeding, fighting and/or cheating on a loved one so I'd leave it as it is.
 
Cant stand "JT", think he's a right burke. He's been in the media for all the wrong reasons far too many times recently. But will Capello change things so close to the WC? I doubt it and he'd be right not to imo.

Id give Rooney the captaincy after the WC.

Fair enough thats because he's an ugly ****. But still. Not to mention he's the only English player who ever shows any passion.
 
When have footballers not been ****, they have been like it for the passed 40 years, a game for gentlemen played by hooligans.
 
There are plenty of gentlemen in the game and always have been, but we don't hear about them because they don't sell newspapers.

He is Chelsea's best defender so that's a daft statement.
He is arguably England's best defender so that's just your opinion.
He is the best leader at Chelsea so without doubt should be their Captain, as the players have repeatedly said.
He is England's best leader as the other main hopefuls said last time the Captaincy was touted as up for grabs.
Those hopefuls were Gerrard & Ferdinand both of whom are **** role models too.
There is still no better candidate for the Captaincy of club & country.
Who really cares if he's had a bit of fun off the pitch, he never lets down on it.
