John Wick- Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)

I saw 3rd last night. Probably in a minority with this but think I preferred the 2nd one. Not sure why there is so much dislike for it here. 3rd one was epic though but I didn't feel it flowed as well as 2nd. 1st still the best by considerable margin.

Tremendous action movie! None of that Jason Bourne shaky camera stuff. The dogs really worked well & reminded me of the old Shadow Dancer Mega Drive game.
I was a little bummed before watching that this was rated 15, but it really felt like an 18 in places.
9/10

I can't believe how excited I am to watch this. Literally more excited about this than I was End Game.

Going in about an hour and I am still here in the office watching trailers. Obsessed.

Yup, so much better than 2. It had more inventive and less repetitive fight scenes.

My only little niggle was the use of a recognisable actor from another martial art series.

It has the guy who played Mad Dog in The Raid and when you think how savage he is in that film, it's all a bit watered down and pedestrian like when fighting JW.

That book scene :D

The knife fight in the antique shop was the stand out scene for me. Slightly ruined by some bloke in the cinema shouting "go on my son", but hey.

So many cool scenes. The bit on the sofa was funny though, when he sat really close.

Haha yeah I laughed at that. And the way John just moves away like “WTF are you doing?” I like a few other characters for a bit more screen time this time.

They’ve honestly made such a cool character and world and the best bit is how little they explain but you can piece it all together.

That bald guy was fantastic though, really liked him. “Is he one of yours?”.... “He was”

WOW, just watched this 10 out of ******* 10! amazing choreography and fight scenes, pure adrenaline for 2 hours! AMAZING.

"The knife fight scene though, wow!"

when to see it myself tonight 10/10 truly brilliantly.

Mate I'm still buzzing now, I left the cinema with my mrs trying to do the fight scenes on her walking out of the cinema, she was grabbing me doing the same, at one point she leapt on to my back and got me in a headlock, the peoples faces were pricess, hahaha we both loved it.

I loved it, absolutely brilliant action movie. So many different styles of fighting in the scenes and different uses of weapons. Love the book scene and as you others have said, that knife scene is something else.
There is a scene when Wick are with Sofia in Casablanca and the camera is on Sofia shooting at some baddies and in the background you still see Wick shooting at some other bad guys, thought that was really good as well.

I just wonder what Winston’s long game is as not even John seemed privy to it.

But for me the real king of the show was. “I’m
****** John. Are you ******?”.....”Yeah”. Can. Not. Wait.

THat was awesome, All this time John has been angry and upset, this was more about the consequences of tearing the city up, but to see John actually ****** off about something.
I did laugh though at how they came walking back in, mentioning something about armor upgrades and both tooled up with shotguns, then the first shot takes half a guys head off.

Yeah It's going to be nice seeing a John Wick out for pure revenge after being betrayed like that. If indeed Winston has betrayed him. Which i hope not as Charon played a better role in this movie than the standard concierge he has been so far.

That shotgun shot was amazing. I think i even muttered something under my breath. Was very funny how they stormed into the room grabbing shotguns. The scene with the knife into the eye was great. The cinema had a audible groan and I saw lots of people looking away, my girlfriend had to hide into her jumper when she saw what was coming :D

So many good fights and scenes in that film. The gun training they do really pays off and makes it that much sweeter to watch. Also the ways the keep coming up with John to kill people is great. The fight scene in the small shop with knives which ended in John throwing the axe was brilliant. Or the fight in the shop with that tall guy, Ernest I think. "14 million is a lot of money, Mr Wick" "Not if you can't spend it". Or the fight towards the end with the two guys from the raid. I really enjoyed that. Zero was a very good character and gave me quite a few laughs, it's a shame they didn't expand on him as his whole school of Ninjas hiding in the shadows of a glass building was great.

Can't wait for 4 and I'm glad that the Bowery King will focus in it more. Was a bit gutted he wasn't in this film that much.

Think I need to go see it again.

Gonna put my neck on the line and say I enjoyed it more than End Game.
