I've mainly used buckle belts, just because those are often lying around the gym, I can't say I have a preference really. Is one better than the other?
Tried a lever belt out when i went to pullum to get my shoes and it felt very similar, so without using it in anger i cant really say. Ice or Dom would be the best for feed back on them
It's possible to get really technical about box squatting, but the basics are that deload the weight on to the box while keeping tension in your core as if you were pause squatting. Your legs should maintain ~50% tension too, and there should be no change in back angle as you drive up.
