Journey Back to The Stage

Well that was embarrassing, woke up with DOMS worse than I've had for a long time this morning in my legs, the sort that make you walk like an idiot. Well was stood in line at Tesco, in my own little world, a guy said "Excuse me, could I get past please?", it caught me by surprise so sort of jolted through my legs to move out the way, but the pain was that bad I sort of stumbled and fell backwards over a display. WINNER!

Back to yesterday...

Friday: Shoulders/Back Width

Side Raises - 10kg x15x2, 14kg x12, 16kg x12
Barbell Press - 60kg x10, 70kg x10x2
Laying Rear Flies - 12kg x12, 16kg x12x2
Rear Cable Flies - 15kg x15, 20kg x12x2
Machine Press/BB Front Raise Superset - 45kg x15/20kg x15, 60kg x15/20kg x15x2
Wide Grip Pullups - BW x10, BW+5 x8x2, BW x7
Lat Pulldowns - 70kg x12x2
Pullovers - 30kg x12x3

Probably the best shoulder session I've had in terms of feeling it throughout and giving a great pump with each set. Normally I start with DB Press but found side raises were a much better exercise at both warming me up and getting blood into my shoulders, which in turn helped a little with my BB Press

Machine Rows - 45kg x8x2, 50kg x8
Bent Over Rows - 60kg x12, 80kg x12, 100kg x10x2
Laying DB Rows - 30kg x10, 34kg x10x2
One Arm Rows - 40kg x8x3

Standing Hamstring Curls - 20kg x10, 25kg x8
SLDL - 60kg x10, 70kg x10x2

Horrible session last night, deadlifts, just weren't feeling them at all. Had horrible lower back pumps after the first 160 which then plagued the rest of my session. It felt heavier than last week too, so just left it so not to cause any damage. I was worried it wouldn't be a great session all day, as due to starting my new job yesterday, eating had been all over the place. But bent over rows and one arm rows kind of saved the session for me a little bit

Hamstrings, gave leg press a go despite my lower back and on the first rep I just knew it was going to be agony which would affect form/weight, so didn't even bother. Just went for some high volume hamstring curls instead

:(

Cheers broseph, yeah it was ok, but compared to my normal volume on deads it was pants.

Today's been rubbish again for eating too, went 8-12 without food (oh noes), which isn't terrible but it throws my whole meal plan out of sync.

I've decided I'm going to have next week off the gym as its more intense with induction meetings, and I'm going up to wills Friday, so is a good chance for me to have a week recovering. Give my lower back a rest

Makes sense dude :)

Likewise today though, on my own today so manning the helpdesk solo, only just had my 10 o clock food at like 12 (noooooooooo)

Just means I waft my lunch down and feel slightely bloated, I'll live :p

I know, I know

My new flat has no decent place to take pics though, the only decent place where I can rest the camera is in the bedroom, but the way the rooms laid out is I have to press the button, run round the bed then try and get in position before it shoots, which means they're often bad pics :p

Er, what phone do you have? Surely it has a time delay? :p

Pics of you on the bed?

Or just this...I really don't mind.

Well, I do mind, I don't want pictures of you on your bed.....

A video would be better

How can I see the light glisten off his oiled up buttocks and the graceful shadows of his deep feathery striations if he's under the covers?

Another meh session last night, I hate my routine being messed with, so my eating plan not being right means I'm just feeling a bit uncomfortable by training time

Tuesday: Chest/Arms

Incline Smith Press - Bar x15, 70kg x10, 70kg x10, 85kg x10
Chest Press - 65kg x10, 80kg x10x2
DB Press - 30kg x8x2, 34kg x7
Cable Crossovers - 25kg x15, 35kg x15x2
Cable Pushdowns - 25kg x15x2, 35kg x10, 40kg x8

Incline DB Curls - 12kg x15x3

Did ladders again for the first time in a while, for anyone who has never tried them give them a go. They're a great finisher exercise for your tris and will leave your arms feeling like jelly :D
