Jurassic World

Really enjoyed it to be honest. Loved all of the references to the original Jurasic Park.
All good fun.
Terrible trailer which looked like poor acting - film is a whole lot better.

Wasn't expecting too much, but it did turn out to be a great popcorn movie, although as Scam stated, I did feel the ending was a little anticlimactic with the
Mossasaurus coming out of the water, eating the Indominous Rex and stealling the T-Rex's kill

Well it was ok...

The entire ending was just BS even for a film about a dinosaur theme park...

The GF was happy and she liked all the references to the original JP films... I guess thats cool.

CGI was fine adequate enough to get what they wanted across....
Gets a bit dull watching the same cliche "hiding behind something while a dinosaur creeps up looking for me" camera shots...

Ok though! not as crap as i feared! 7/10.

Saw it at the Waterloo IMAX this afternoon.

Thought it was an acceptable popcorn movie but, unsurprisingly, falls short of Spielberg's genius.

The whole 'parents getting divorced' thing was weird. Mentioned a bit at the start, kid has a cry - out of nowhere - in the middle and then it's all forgotten.

Also, the film used maybe 50% of the tropes from tvtropes.org.
Having said all that, if Jurassic World really existed, I would take my chances and visit it in an instant. :p

It would be very expensive, but I'm sure they'd have Coupon Day or something. :D

Wasn't expecting much from this movie but I really loved it

Its still a stupid movie where no one learned from any of the past mistakes though. However I knew it was going to be that kind of movie and I didn't let that annoy me.

I think I loved it more because of the little links to the first movie, such as using the old entrance, the dna cartoon character, the banner and old vehicle, mentioning the 'spared no expense' line.

And my god every time I hear that theme tune it just gets to me. That score made the film and still does. By far the best score john Williams has done... Even if its not the best film.

They will never make Jurassic park but I Really really really wish they would make an oculus rift / vr game of this. Imagine getting on the plane, leaning to the window seeing that island. Getting into that vehicle with the giant doors opening while the theme song playing. Then sitting in that car thinking "oh **** that electric fence isn't working. If I won that 100 million euromillion last night I'd put it all into a game like that haha.

Saw it yesterday. It just doesn't feel like it fits in with the previous films at all. It didn't have that seriousness about it.

Enjoyed it though and I'd definitely watch again, but the previous films were better for me.

Watched tonight, really enjoyed it and loved all the references to the original.

Did anyone else spot the book, noticed it in a few scenes!!

Just back from watching this with my boys (13 and 16) and they both enjoyed it. I thought it good but not great. Didn't notice any dodgy CGI either? Can't knock £4.90 a ticket though!

I loved the way that, when the InGen guys are coming in on the chopper, the shot is framed exactly like the original shot from JP1 when Hammond et al are flying in. Subtle but a nice nod to fans.

What an abomination of a film. I found almost nothing positive about it. The dialogue, the acting, the direction, the music editing/placement (yes, the JP theme tune is wonderful but they didn't know when to use it) and the choice of actors...oh man. What a disappointment.

A CG overload. Rather than the beautiful shots and scenes from JP, they had to go and fit 10, 20...50 of them in single shots. Poor CG it was in parts too.

It's 4/10 film for me. Crushing disappointment. It was like watching a straight-to-TV movie. Even Chris Pratt couldn't save it and I think he's great.

I appreciate how a truly great director (Spielberg) can be head an shoulders above a mediocre one (Trevorrow). Safety Not Guaranteed was a good film, but in no way justified him being at the helm of this.

I actually quite enjoyed it for just a bit of fun.

Most impressive thing about the movie: a woman outrunning a T-Rex in heels.

We paid £8.99 for 'discounted' student tickets.. Vue is a joke. Alas, that's all we have in Inverness.
