Jurassic World

People take these kinds of films WAY to seriously.

I enjoyed it for what it was - A good nostalgic action movie.

That's because the other three films actually had some seriousness about them (well, 1 and 2 definitely). This one seemed like it was made by the same people who did Transformers, Avengers, Iron Man, etc. Enjoyable, but utterly terrible storyline and lacking in what made the franchise great in the first place: the suspense.

I heard a collective sigh in the cinema when he got up and kissed her after being rescued. Cringe. :p

Holy crud, what a POS this movie is. Apart for some okay CGI this is an epic fail.. not even a 'so bad its good' flick. I wouldn't mind so much if we'd seen it on the telly, but we spent quite a bit of money to go the the cinema, and I feel like a chump for spending on this dross.

One of the worst films I've ever seen.. 1/10

I watched it again in 3D this time, and you know what it was just as good second time around. If not better!

Don't understand comments such as the above..

Thoroughly enjoy it, had no negative thoughts at all throughout the movie, though I did thoroughly enjoyed Jurassic Park III as well.

Because......Some people want a film to engage them, have a well written script that makes the characters feel real so you care about what happens to them, have effects that draw you into to a world where you can suspend your disbelief for a few hours.

Other people want a "switch brain off and watch the explosions" type movie.

Personally I like both types but I wanted Jurassic World to be the former like the original was, instead of the latter which what we got.

Because.....The Internet.

No.

Indeed.. this!.. I did no go to see this wanting to hate it. In fact it was part of an anniversary day out for me and the wife, so we absolutely wanted to have a good time, but we both felt the same.. I am not hating it for affect.

I love a good pop-corn movie, but this was not good on any level.. it was almost like a parody, but actually wasn't.. it is pretty much as stupid as Sharknado, but no one making it seemed to realise.

All the characters we're so lame I just wanted them all to die, and the stupid dyno's with them... The T-Rex and Raptor giving each other a nod at the end, kind of saying thanks bro, made me feel embarrassed to be watching :o

For those that liked it, good, I'm glad you had a nice time.. yah bunch of morons :p :D :)

I cannot believe some friends told me that the movie was good, also I read online some positive comments about it but the truth is that this movie is one big pile of ...

Flashy CGI but everything else just so bad.

2/10

Is this new film like a follow on from the older movies or more of a remake?

I only liked the first jurassic Park and watched the lost world but I left it at that.

It is a follow on from the first Jurassic Park. There are lots of references to the first film in this with one character returning, Dr Wu.

We went to watch it yesterday in 3D at a Imax screen and whilst the 3D and CGI was just about acceptable, considering how good the first one was all those years ago, the story was mediocre at best.

Not a bad film but not sure if it was worth £30 or so. 4/10 - below average.

I was surprised to see how much weight Vincent D'Onofrio had put on, not having seen him in a film for a few years.

I enjoyed it, so did my GF and kids.

Loved the nostalgia factor from the first film.

Only disappointed for me was a total lack of explanation/story about how they went from the first park to this park.

Seems like too many movie critics in here unable to enjoy a popcorn flick.

I enjoyed this, was much better than i expected. Not as good as the original but definitely a worthy successor after the terrible films we had since the first one.

Nothing special but not too bad for a popcorn flick. The story was poor in its use of the velociraptors trying to change their role so to speak and it just didn't sit right with me. It completely lacked the suspense that the first one did so well and no scenes came close to that of the original t-rex when it broke through the fence nor the velociraptors speeding through the long grass.

Bit of a missed opportunity but still not a terrible movie for me, just not as good as it should have been.

5.5/10

We saw it Saturday night too, how did she still have those High Heels on at the end of the film?

GRRRReat film though, could easily watch JP1 then This and forget all about the other two.

I didn't go to this movie with high expectations, but I intended to go there, switch off my brain and enjoy some dinosaurs.
But I couldn't.

I nearly projectile vomited over the screen when they came across that dying dinosaur and it breathed it's last breath in their loving arms.

The last 10 or so minutes of the film was amazing, but it was too little too late.

It's not bad for a family film, but I couldn't see past the characters/dialogue/plot to enjoy it.

Only character I got emotionally attached to was the
T-Rex :p

Went to see it at the IMAX 3D tonight and was pleasantly surprised. After seeing the trailer I thought it was going to be a complete dog but proved relatively competent in the end. Plenty of ludicrous bits they could do without and almost choked on the irony of criticism towards corporate culture within the film while shamelessly cramming a lot of product placements down our throats. IMAX and 3D effects were also very good and references to the original were also tastefully done.

7/10 with at least one of those points simply due to nostalgia
