What's the big deal about the kid saying awesome?
See the above post, and no, I obviously have not seen the whole movie.

- Because raptors are completely different to gorillas. Whilst gorillas can sometimes be aggressive, you can get pretty close to them in the wild, they generally sit on their asses eating leaves. Raptors are predators, gorillas aren't.
- Yes it is a hook, but that doesn't make it a good film.
- Maybe I would find it "awesome", but that's not the type of thing you put in a movie. Wasn't the crowds reaction enough? Does a character really need to point out the obvious?
- Cliche. I bet the military method doesn't work, and Pratt's horse whispering raptors save the day, even more cliche.
The writing just seems lazy; over the top antics and ludicrous plots.
What's wrong with over the top antics, not every film needs to be deep. How about you wait and see what the films going to be like instead of writing it off after a bad trailer.
They have already given away too much in the trailers. The best thing about the original JP was that it actually provoked some suspense.
I'm managing expectations (setting them very low, as I do with most blockbuster films now).
The T-Rex attacking the Jeeps in JP is quite possibly my favorite sequence in movie history. CGI/models/sound FX/brilliant directing all make it unforgettable. If JW can capture an ounce of that feeling I'm in....but it's a big ask.
If its all CGI Dino's then it won't have the charm and feel of the originals.
Current state of CGI, I think we can put it to rest now the silly notion that JP CGI is better than JW, they almost look animatronic.
